Sensationalize some more information while you're at it. Nobody said it was "irrelevant" information. And I seriously doubt the people who actually vote for the award already made a consensus decision that Forsberg was a lock. That would be more than a little unprofessional. Kinda like how you like to misrepresent information to support your point.
- RonPielep

I am not manufacturing anything. I have heard MULTIPLE voters say at this point it is a lock. Again, as I stated assuming Forsberg stays healthy and continues his level of play (but I also figured that was assumed). Obviously, if any of the candidates started struggling now it would hurt their chances. I really don't care to argue with you as you have your opinion and I mine. I respect yours and you should do the same.

Anyone who thinks that Nashville was the better team is delusional. Jets had zone possession for stretches that lasted minutes, with key chances at several points throughout the night. Nashville is a good team with a world beater of a goaltender. Without Rinne, that game is over in the second period, if you think differently, you either didn't watch the game or had the blue and yellow sunglasses on.

I'm okay with Rinne for Hart and Vezina, but the Norris will be going to number 58 from Pittsburgh, all day.

Lots of speculation on individual trophies here so far. There's really only one trophy I really care about. I would love to see that one come home to Nashville more than any other. I still think there's room for this team to improve. If we can avoid the injury bug and get all our guys healthy at once... Have we even had that yet? There's always been someone out all year. Fisher, Rinne, Ellis, Wilson for a few, Ekholm. Am I missing anyone?

Bottom line, Preds keep on winning no matter what. I'm more than a little excited.

Does anyone know if the Preds intend on re-signing Ribeiro?

I am sure they are...it will be interesting to see what the number looks like. I don't think they are getting the $1 million discount this time around...

Forsberg is a lock for the Calder for sure (assuming no major injury that causes him to miss games)

Rinne deserves the Vezina, but Carey Price does too. Weber has been due to win a Norris for years now and is deserving this year for sure.

Rinne and Weber will most likely get snubbed due to playing in Nashville. I think they have both come to terms with that. It's sad but it's how it goes.

Tennesseans have a pretty bad trophy snubbing grudge ever since Manning lost the Heisman to Woodson. Back then it was a bias against the Sec, and now it's because they play in Nashville. We must blame someone or something. Acceptance will not be tolerated.

Apparently!
Weber does deserve to be in contention for the Norris every season. Problem in the past was that others deserved it as much or more. Lidstrom deserved every one he got... and that only leaves a few seasons where he could have beat someone out for it (Subban, Karlsson, maybe Keith)

PK Subban is the most over rated defenseman in the entire league.

That's almost as clueless as the guy over on the Jets' comment thread that said now with Myers, they may have the best Defensive Corps in the West. Hahaha. Pekka was a big reason the Preds won. But also, when the Preds Captain was in the box, a kid who is on the 3rd D pair helped shut down 90 seconds of 5-on-3 play, stuffing multiple opportunities. And don't forget Shea Weber unleashing multiple bombs that did damage in various ways.

Sure, the Preds didn't have their best possession game last night. But they still found a way to beat the Jets.

My left toe has more hockey knowledge then your entire body. Nashville just has a better goalie to inflate your defensive stats. You will see come playoff time when the Road to the cup ends at the Golden Boy!

You guys had a 5 on 3 powerplay for 1:30, still couldn't score. Why? Not only did Rinne stop your shots, but the defensemen took out 95% of their shooting lanes, because of their defense. Go have your cheese with your whine elsewhere.
