leafs are rebuilding, almost everyone on the team is essentially available. it's not like the oilers who have been rebuilding the past 10 years and only offering up scrubs no one wants.

a team that acquires him will use him as a 2nd line C. unless they have two great C already and want the extra depth in case of injury.

the avs seem like a great fit. mackinnon has struggled this season playing C, where you need to be better defensively. stastny played that role last season and it allowed mackinnon to excel on the wing. bozak, while not as good as stastny obviously, is much cheaper in comparison and will allow mackinnon to go back to wing full time, as he still plays C at times this season.

o'reilly will likely be traded anyways, so bozak + gardiner for o'reilly + could be a good fit for both team.
