Ahhh, Buffalo

Buffalo being on that list is going to be very short term. I find it short sighted that players or agents view Buffalo as undesirable currently. They aren't going to land McEichel because they are inept, they are going to land one because they have their poop together. The impact the Pegula's are going to have in the NHL is going to be felt soon, and its going to be strong. The Harbor Center alone is going to get talented young hockey players from around the world acquainted with the city. And with all the cities improvements these kids won't have the old stereotypical opinion of Buffalo.

As far as Winnipeg, I wonder if they are a viable NHL market long term. The winters are far harsher and longer than ours. They just had their first star player that came from Atlanta finally have all he could take there. The arena doesn't have as high of a capacity as most others in the NHL and enthusiasm is already in decline. That first season in Winnipeg the crowds were unreal. I would watch their games just for the spectacle. Now they are relegated to what the Sabres used to be, battling for a final playoff spot and otherwise existing as schedule filler.

First of all the polled 10 agents...10

So what did the voting look like?

5 for Edmonton
3 for Winnipeg
2 for Buffalo?

I'm sorry polling 10 agents isn't enough and its not like I don't expect Buffalo to be on a lot of places No Trade Lists because the team is garbage. But whatever winning changes everything.

This is what was said about Buffalo in Custance's article.

3. Buffalo. Again, bad teams repel players. The market is great, it's just a lack of success, which obviously could change."If Connor MacDavid or Jack Eichel are playing in Buffalo and they're the players they look like they're going to be, guys will want to play there", said an agent.

And oh by the way, it didn't take long for Tyler Myers to put his house up for sale. $1.7M if ya got the cash.

I will never understand why athletes buy million dollar homes, Knowing a trade can happen at any time. In a situation like this the market would be greater and it would be much easier to sell a 400-500K house then it is$ 1.7 Million. Especially in Buffalo.

Sorry, but most athletes got where they are on more than skill. They got there on competitive spirit.

I'm sure some of the wind has been taken out of their sails with how the team has fared this year, but most athletes have that undying desire to win.

And this is why sports teams like hockey pay a coach. End of the day ur only motivated by yourself but a good coach will find the right buttons to push. At some point the gm might have to get involved. Look at what Edmonton did with Sheldon souray. He got his pay day and just went through the motions. So they sent him to the minors.

Bcz his ntc was gonna kick in start of next season. When your rich I'm sure you would want to enjoy the benefits. It costs money to not have close neighbors, be in a prime location, have all the amenities, piece and quiet etc etc. that's actually not as bad as jp loss man buying a 4 million dollar house in buffalo. Those contracts are not guranteed.

That house is straight ridiculous. It will sell at a profit. Real estate is a good thing to have your money tied up in.

If I'm not mistaken that means he's violating the terms of the restraining order placed on him 2 years ago.

Grigs is still out. How bad is this knee injury supposed to be? It's been a few weeks hasn't it?

Seems like it's been a bit. It's tough to find a game log for the AHL though to see when the last time he played was. They really need an upgrade to their stats/scoring available on their site.

EDIT: Found it. The last game he played in was 1/30. So he's been out close to 3 weeks now.

This CHI/DET game is a painful reminder of how much I hate that they moved Detroit to the East. The fact that they broke up this rivalry is just stupid.
