It is a shame, but the fact remains that Detroit never belonged in the West in the first place, really any more than Toronto did in the 90s and before.

The funny part about that though, is that Detroit is probably just as far from Chicago as it is from Buffalo.

I get that they are in the east time zone and all of that, but at the same time, that's just the way the cookie crumbles when the major concentration of teams is further east than you.

Rochester has been in the Western Conference of the AHL for as long as I can remember. I believe they are finally getting to move to the East Conference next year.

No, I wouldn't give them both 1sts, if they made the deal just the 1st one if I was going to make the deal and I wouldn't make a deal to give up top centers for an older, smaller, winger.
