That's the point, where he's from does matter to some and they would want the Sabres to trade their 1st pick for him for that reason. If he was Pat Kane from Toronto he wouldn't have the love he has.

I had the oiler feed on radio for a bit tonight

only 4 games for the rest of the year are games where the oilers play a team basically out of the playoffs

Maybe, but Darcy was a bit of an idiot at times. He offered a lot for him when he was 18 and he was offering the 5th pick overall + to move up not to trade out of the top pick in the draft.

Scrivens looks very solid. Hopefully this is the start of a run of good form from him.
