and while I agree on ferences low talent and size, ive never thought he played to his size. hes always been willing to engage with players far bigger than him.

Nope- there is at least effort- and when we are down a goal in the 3rd periods now- they dont let up- the Boston game is a great example or even the Montreal game... At least its not nearly as painful to watch anymore- and there are some nice examples of positives that show that the team is responding positively opposed to the beginning of the season where I would just shut the TV at the start of the 3rd period cause it was too painful to watch...

I think this team at the very least should make a huge move for a starting NHL tender... If the roster remains as is- an NHL tender would at least take us to 10th spot or better in a full season... if they can sustain this play and become more consistent with it

We progressed in possession leaps and bounds. A combination of bad luck (pdo), poop goaltending and and lack of personnel hampered them. There is a very slight uptick in this team but a lot of it is personnel related. You and Spoiled are blinded by Eakins hate and keep jerking Nelson every chance you get. News for you both. This is still a bad team.

Regardless of what Nelson does he is getting wins and they are playing exciting hockey... The players are responding- I am not sure why you cant see it or wont admit it... Eakins primarily used his workhorses and rode Hall all he could where as Nelson divides the roles and opportunities... and doesnt even have Hall...

I like the results we've been getting since Nelson took over. But the same problems we had with Eakins are still present with Nelson.

No matter if someone is pro or anti Eakins, that whole subject needs to be dealt with like a prom night dumpster.

I was never pro-Eakins retard, my stance was always, and very consistantly, that the Oilers suckiness was not Eakins fault, just like how the current sucess has little to do with Nelsons ability as a coach.
This is a bad hockey team, that has always been my point of view and still is. You see 10 wins and think we are on the verge of greatness or something?

He had a great season last year and his save % is still 914 which isn't terrible considering the team in general is bad. It's not a deal I'd jump on but I'd think about it just because of the goalies performance this year, granted some of it was due to us leaving the slot open but it's also do to them not making the save.

As for the Petry trade, I'd make that deal
