Trading McNabb, Armia, Lemieux, and Myers got us Fasching, Deslauriers, Kane and Bogosian. I think it's a little early to proclaim Murray is flushing out all the Darcy. McNabb looks like a career 2nd-3rd pair. Bogo suits what we want to be more than Myers and so does Kane. Armia plays a perimeter game and seems like he doesn't give it his all, all of the time (according to Murray) and Lemieux was needed to make the trade happen. Unless Grigorenko brings us back a top line player, I would hope Murray doesn't give up on him. He's improving his entire game day by day. |

"I can tell you one team that would like to get their hands on them and that's the Buffalo Sabres. They won't be alone. There's going to be a long list of teams if and when the Avalanche really put this guy in play. Now with the Avs falling out of the playoff race, one would think that would probably wait until the summer. BUT we know one thing about Tim Murray in Buffalo, he showed it with the Evander Kane deal. He's not scared to go after something and make a giganctic deal and i'm told that other first round pick, the low pick, he's willing to throw that in the package for ROR, if the time comes in the offseason."

That's a rookie mistake from Risto going for the big hit instead of keeping his man to the outside.
Better hope that changes next year. |

It takes time to know when to go for the hit and when not to. He's learning still. Hopefully the fact that it bit him in the ass reinforces that it was a bad idea. |

We can easily afford. The problem is the same one that Colorado faces - do you want to pay a 2nd line player that money? |

He's 20. He's got time to figure it out. Defensemen always develop the slowest. |

Until they get more offensive support, I don't think we'll see that. Too much is expected out of the D right now. |

They actually have a different guy that does the contract stuff. Obviously he has some input, but the financials and cap management is done by someone else. Can't remember what his name is though |

You know it's kinda funny almost a year ago a bunch of people had McDavid/Eichel, E Kane and O'Reilly pegged in their hypothetical future lineup and every time people including myself shot them down for any number of reasons.
And now there's a real good chance all that could happen, i envy those people, what are the odds you get to see your armchair gm work come to life. - Sabresfan-365
I know it's crazy. |

Agreed, I don't think its all bad with them. I've seen people say they've regressed this year but from what I've seen they seem more comfortable out there. |

I think he is moved in the summer as part of a package. I wonder what Roy thinks of him.
