So, for ROR
First I wonder if they can negotiate an extension as a condition of the trade
Second I assume big Z is a goner if this deal happens so......

With Kane, Reinhart, pick #1 or 2 this year, ROR, Girgens up front and
Bogo, Risto and Pysyk on the back end

are those 8 players enough for a core?

- homiedclown

Add Ennis and Grigs to the top 6. Keep Zads for the top 4, we shouldn't trade any of Risto/Zads/Bogo/Pysyk.

Can't sign him to an extension till the season is over
We're pretty deep a forward, I wouldn't wanna trade a defenseman for one
I really think O'Reilly wants to get to UFA status & see what kind of offers he gets
I'd rather wait till then so we don't have to give anything up for him

- jdfitz77

"Moving him won't be easy, though. One of Bob McKenzie's sources said, "If you're trading for [O'Reilly] now and giving up what Colorado expects to get, you better know you have [O'Reilly] signed to that extension." By that extension, he's referring to the big payday O'Reilly expects to receive as he nears his prime -- one estimated to be worth between $6.5 and $7.5 million per year. "

ROR is in the Kessel area for me. I'd love to have him, but not pay what it would take to get him.

Pass, Col will want too much for a ufa who just wants the biggest pay day. If Murray likes him he should make a run at him in the offseason. If Ror says no then nothing lost.

I picked up a Gretzky rookie at a reasonable price. PSA graded 4 for 125.

Don't think they are looking for quantity. It's top 4 dman or they are wasting an asset in him.
- DDM-Coga

Then tell Sakic to move along.

Actually, wait.

Benoit has been playing on the #1 pair since Bogo came aboard.

Benoit and our other late 1st, then?

Then we don't talk trade until July 1st or the Avs don't get what they want.

Me, neither.

The only way I would do it is if we ended up picking 3rd this year and ended up with Hanifin.

Then I'd say, OK, let's move one of the defensemen (NOT Risto or Bogo) for ROR. But only after July 1st and only after he agreed to an extension with us.

Anybody think Patrick Wiercioch might be a valuable add as a puck mover for the blue line? He's said to be available from the Sens, and would be someone GMTM knows awfully well

He's a buy low guy I think. Could be nice for depth if the price is reasonable.

DDM, tell Sakic that if one more fan offers GrigoPysyk1, that Sakic will lock up O'Reilly with a NMC for the rest of his life. Thanks

Our 14(?) shots per game should be a nice welcome to the Show for him.

After last night, the bigger game may be at 10:00 in Alberta. Let's hope scribes comes up big.

Missed the game last night.

Bogo with big minutes, 7 blocks, 6 hits, 4 SOG and a +1.

This is what I want to see from him.

I would imagine that the Avs will let teams talk to him before the draft in the hopes of getting picks in this draft.

He really is a cornerstone defenseman. He may not be Shea Weber but that's ok - he just seems to be an anchor. Maybe a more mobile Darien Hatcher?
