Yeaaaa damn I have zero faith in Talbot though. - rangerdanger94
Rangers will be fine once Lundqvist is back you just need to pray you don't run into Carey Price in the PO's...
Talbot has looked pretty decent before tonight over your last 5 games or so...

Have a look at Minny's sched over the next 7-8 games. LOTS of points available there with the exception of maybe the WSH and NSH games. Easily their destiny is in their own hands but man a pad your stats schedule.
I love the way this team is playing too but I still feel we may have waited a bit too long to make a 'need' trade but stranger things have happened.
I think LA and Minny will get in and one of Calgary or Van might be out...maybe both.
But I would love to see Van-Calgary-WPG all get in that would be outstanding.
Just trying to look at it realistically... - LordHumungous
Of the teams fighting for a playoff spot the Mild play the most teams in a playoff position. Flames have the least onerous sched comparatively speaking... that's from the Mild broadcast the other night... |

Talbot has like a .8 save percentage in the last 6 games before tonight. He's been trash. |

When are we going to be told that we're lucky to be in the weakest division? |

Rangers are 7-1-2 over their last 10 most of those with Talbot.
It appears he is making the right saves at the right times for you guys most nights.

The Wild sched over their next 8 games:
EDM-DAL-EDM-NSH-COL-OTT-WAS-CAR
Only NSH and WSH are PO teams over the next 8 lots of points up for grabs for Minny.

We've also been the top scoring team in the league over the last 10 games.
The issue I have with Talbot is that yea, he makes some sick saves. But he gives up goals at bad times. And they're not necessarily goals that are "his fault", but they're goals that are definitely savable and are given up at just absolutely BRUTAL times. I'm talking like, dominate the preds for the entire 2nd period while up 1-0 and then give up 2 goals in 30 seconds in the final minute 30 of the period. Or giving up a goal 30 seconds into a period after starting the period with a great shift and leading the game by 1 goal. Or give up a tying goal with 2 mins left in the 3rd tonight. |

Rick Nash is finally Rick Nash. I thought he was going to way of Dany Heatly the last couple years. |

We used to have our own talbot his name was luongo. Don't fall for his trap! You'll end up with a goalie signed into his 50's |

He was great during the lockout season and even though last year was considered a down year, he still put up 26 goals in 65 games. He's on another level this season for sure though.
He lost 20-30 pounds which helps, but I also think having his first kid is a big factor too. That kind of thing just changes your life and gives you the ultimate motivation to succeed. |

Fair enough as you follow the Rangers alot closer than I do. I'm not saying at all that Talbot is your savior it just appears to me he has made some timely saves for you guys in the previous 5 games or so and that is what it takes to win most nights.

He gives us a chance to win, but when we lose it's because he totally craps it. Listen, we're 5-1-2 with Hank out and Talbot manning the fort. That's pretty damn good and I can't complain too much. But yea, zero faith. |

They are playing my style that I like. My biggest complaint all year was they are too soft, too much passing , and everything went through the twins. Now the fight , including the twins , they hit , they shoot. That's how you play hockey. |

I wonder if we could get a 3rd rounder for Stanton?
So we could recoup the 3rd we lost in the Kesler Trade.
Stanton is probably the worst D-man on this roster, guy is a blackhole for offensive momentum.
Not to mention his constant giveaways. |

Agreed man. The WD Tongue lashing made a huge difference.
Sometimes the nice guy just needs to lose his shyt
What I really would like to see is who the player in the dressing room that stands up and tell the guys to get their shyt together and play like real hockey players.
Bieksa would be my first guess. But I get the feeling these days that Hank may be little more vocal than we think behind the scenes.
Afterall he did tell a ref to fukk off last week (Or something along those lines)
Too bad the Sedins chose to wait until they were in there mid forties to start playing like this.
Would have been mighty helpful in 2011. |
