Fair enough. I'm sure after a couple of losses tank nation will be speaking up. - Marwood
If we can get 7 out of a possible 10 on this trip I like our chances at a playoff spot. |

They'd have to throw in Johansen.
Edit: oh wait Kassian sucks again... Fair deal - Scooby_Doo
Johanson is a bust. Last year was a fluke. |

But when you really think about it, all tank nation wanted to see is the rookies play instead of the fringe players and vets.
That's kind of what's been happening. Some of our rookie players are really starting to contribute. I'm a tank nation supporter and I'm happy with what I'm seeing.
Just wish we could secure a top 10 draft pick. |

I'm in the same boat. Great to see Horvat playing at a high level though. Best prospect the Canucks have had in a long time. - Nucker101
Yup, pretty awesome to see a 19 year old on this roster playing with lots of confidence right now.....still hard to look past that shooting %. Regardless his all round play is good and I think he has shown flashes of more offensive abilities.
I really though he was going to tie up the game late yesterday and he has shown recently a few dangles around the net. |

The cnucks don't have many players that feel comfortable in front of the net. Bo seems to be very comfortable there. |

I think Matthais is expendable. He's playing the way Kassian should be playing. I suspect that if Benning gets a good offer for him he is gone. The bottom six isn't the problem aside from having too many players to fill the role. The TDL could be interesting as could be the draft this summer. Looking forward to another gritty effort tonight!! - Marwood
I would rather keep Mathias and trade Richardson. Mathias to me brings more to the table and would cost the same if not less then Richardson. He also give us the versatility of either a Center or winger. Richardson is out of place if he is not in center or moves up in the lineup. |

We are all sceptical and I think its warranted. I am extremely happy with this season as a whole. Playoffs or not this team is the type of team I want to see. Play hard every game. Fight for each other and the wins will come. - thundachunk
I still would like to see at some point, more skill on this roster. Grit and tenacity is great but you still need some high end skill guys. Teams that can score from committee can win cups but usually rely on physical play and elite goal tending (Bos, La 1st cup), something this team doesn't have.
Vrbata is the only player on this roster with high end individual skills, I am pleasantly surprised how many different ways he has scored goals this year.
Vey might turn that corner but I have my doubts, Bo I don't think will ever be a skill guy ( not criticism), Shink is a ways off yet of being an NHLer, Virtanen/McCann are still relatively unknown but are not projected as high end skill guys either.
I really hope Benning takes a risk and goes for some really skilled players this year even if they are smaller or more one dimensional. |

Haha, No clue. I read it somewhere that they were simplifying the travel by just staying in Manhatten for these 3 games. |

Keep Mathias and Richardson and trade Kassian.
Kassian has now played for 4 NHL coaches, and not one of them has been able to teach him how to play a defensive system in his own end.
At some point, when he is riding the press box regulalrly cause the coach can't trust him, you have to let him go. |

The Bruins wouldn't trade Reilly for Jagr, let alone Higgins. RS has solidified himself in their top 6. They have an aging core as well, and you won't see him moved. |

Well according to the Leafs Winnik is worth a Second and a prospect. Then we can trade Richardson for a 2nd and B prospect. Kassian at best will get us a 4th ATM. His value cannot be lower. I would keep him unless we get a 3rd and 4th. |

I would free up the roster spot for someone who can play both ends of the ice consistently. |

Yes it is but do you think Pitt would go for Higgins and a third?
Having Despres would take care of D for a good number years.
Kassian 9 scratches
Lack 6 wins 6 losses 2 OTL
Edler Tanev
Hamhuis Despres
Biega Clendenning
Stanton Sbisa
Decent 8 - VANTEL
I am not saying they would sell cheap but still it is a definite overpayment |
