Voted as the smartest player in the Eastern Conference, ahead of Ottawa 67’s forward Logan Couture, in the 2008 OHL Coaches Poll.
He patterns his game after Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby “because he loves to compete, he’s the best player in the game and he’s fun to watch”.
He wears number 19 after his childhood idol Steve Yzerman and his most memorable hockey moment was winning gold at the 2007 Canada Winter Games.

Ron Delorme is still the chief amateur scout for the Canucks
- we_are_all_canucks

i think that's just a title... MG revamped the scouting about 3 years in and had one decent draft. his last one.

Smart enough to sign the contract and then play bad enough to get bought out so he can sign another one

There is one. Trust me. They were winning the Stanley cup in November and December. Then the calendar changed to 2015...

Jeff Paterson @patersonjeff
PP assists by #NHL d-men this season:
1) ARZ Yandle 24
2) STL Shattenkirk 20
T-30) EDM Schultz 7
Entire #Canucks blueline 7

I feel bad for the Sedins on the PP of this team, they have no 2nd unit to help them on nights when they don't score on the PP and the Canuck defense doesn't exactly "create" offense. So basically it's all on them. They must be jealous of other 1st liners on teams that have at least an average 2nd unit and 1 good PP d-man.

Honestly I'm surprised this team has as many PP goals as it does considering they have zero threats coming from the back end. Daniel rarely shoots anymore, Henrik never does, leaving only Vrbata or a goal line play as the only options.
