Oh jeezuz Christ.

Point per game? After four (frank)ing games?

Who gives a sh!t, besides you?

Steve Bernier was a point per game with us after 4 games. Who cares? Lots of players have hot streaks after being traded. Why do you always just look at offense, too? How many hits does that giraffe have after 4 games? I bet Bogo triples what Myers has.

You just cannot accept that Murray traded your boy away. Just say it. You're bitter about it. It's obvious. You cannot, for the life of you, accept it. It's sad.

You only pop in here to say "what a dumb high sticking penalty Bogo took the other night" or Myers is on pace for 82 points. Bogosian is playing his arse off, and playing well, on a last place team. Myers has 4 points on a playoff bound team. Well, I hope he (frank)ing does. If he doesn't, there's something wrong.

But, really, again, who cares? He's gone. And many of us are glad.

You seem much more upset than me, and I lost my boy.

I think it's rationalization more than anything though. When Buff1000 posted the rumoured deal (and i think in that one we weren't giving up a 1st) most people were quick to either call him out or say never going to happen. 24 hours later everyone changed their tune. Suddenly Armia was no good and Bogosian was juggernaut.

Since the Amerks aren't going to make the playoffs either, after the deadline do you think we see Pysyk, McCabe, Grigs, etc sooner than later?
- Pierceme69

Could see Reinhart in Rochester this year yet. 13 more games for the Kootenay - how many are left for Rochester? Kootenay is in a playoff position now.

My numbers are off by a game or two somehow, but I attribute that to having to scroll through their damn schedule (note, counting games as only a win or loss):

3-13 before Reinhart joined the team
25-17 since he's been there
7 point cushion to remain in the playoffs with only 14 games to go

Everything I've read/heard so far suggests that's the case but as McKenzie pointed out, if he couldn't work a deal around Myers for him I can't really see what he could do now to get the Avs to bite.
- Sabresfan-365

He'll have to overpay, and in my opinion, it's not worth it. I'd rather Murray go after a RW to play with McEichel and Kane...unless ROR can play RW.

Hes been their best defensemen. He had 5 shots last night and they got killed by WSH. He will be a 40-50 point player most likely
- sbroads24

If Bogo puts up 30-35 points and adds the extra physicality then it's a wash for me.

I read somewhere that he shares the same agent as E Kane, and on top of that he was in the running to be the AGM of the sabres (have to assume this was after Murray was hired).

It may mean nothing but the fact that there's a relationship there makes me think that Murray will try his best to get a window to negotiate an extension before making the deal.

- Sabresfan-365

I saw a tweet tonight where someone retweeted Bob Mckenzie who said TM will try everything he can to get ROR. I'm sure he'll have a plan to sign him because he is not going to give up all it is going to take to get him for 1 year. He should be fired if that happened.

This is where im at with the trade. Huge risk, not a fan of moving Myers for Bogosian but if Risto can turn into a stud D then whatever hole I think is left in the defence will be gone.

Murray obviously could care less about most of darcys draft picks so it wouldn't suprise me if he overpays for ROR. I just don't see what we have that the avs want. Psysk or McCabe I suppose. They need d

A few on here said Armia was no good. Most, even the ones who supported the trade, said we may have given up one too many pieces.

Bogosian is what we have been waiting for since Rivet, Regehr, etc. A linebacker who can smoke people. And he's not a cement head. Kid can flat out fly, can rope it tape to tape and, once we get better players on this team (because let's face it, Winnipeg/Atlanta has been sh!t until this year), Bogo will add some offense.

No, he's not the be all, end all. But we needed a player of his ilk, and we've gotten it. So, in that sense, I'm glad Myers is gone.

I get you're a Myers guy, but honestly Bogo is basically the same age. Any projection on our D corps with Myers hasn't changed much except now they are a little less offensively skilled but a little tougher.

Why are we bringing Kane up?

He was nowhere to be found in this conversation.

Ive been thinking his deal to look a lot like the Jordan Staal deal.

The two players pittsburgh moved were Sutter and Dumoulin, shouldn't be hard to replicate that but they did also move the 8th pick. I wonder what would that mean in terms of value on our side?

I think both he and kane have played RW before, I'd overpay for him but there are specific players i wouldn't give up.

There is no hole left by Myers. You act like Bogo is some washed up 30 something. He's actually a few months younger than Myers and adds physicality Myers didn't have. Defensively we'Re probably better.

Im not saying Bogosian is washed up. Personally I think he's a #3 guy and while I wasn't as big a fan of Myers as others I thought that given his skill set he had/has a better chance of being a top pairing guy once we were half decent than Bogosian.

The thing is even before the deal there was still a bit of concern. Even if Myers turned it around would it be enough or to win do we need someone better than Myers to lead this team. You and others may believe Bogosian is better and that's fine but I do not. The reality is there was a hole before, I just think with Myers gone the pressure on making sure one of those younger guys turns into a top pairing D is even greater.

Just posting for entertainment purposes:

On if there is much to the Ryan O’Reilly to the Sabres talk:

“Well, Buffalo is interested. And they were interested before. And they’re still interested. And I think Tim Murray is going to try everything within his power to make it happen. If he couldn’t make it happen when he had Tyler Myers, I’m not sure that there’s anything necessarily there that would make it easier. If anything, it would probably be more difficult if you’re trying to get Ryan O’Reilly out of Colorado.

“Colorado is open to the notion, I think. I’d be shocked if it happens between now and the deadline, but it’s not out of the question. But this summer I think certainly because of the financial implications of where O’Reilly’s contract is going, and the fact that they need help in other areas more than they need Ryan O’Reilly - even though Patrick Roy loves rolling Ryan O’Reilly out the gate every shift he possibly can - it’s probably not feasible to keep him long-term.

“So therefore I think he will move in the summer, if not sooner.”

It's funny 89 was talking about how his source said how TM was trying to get rid of Darcy's trash. I have a feeling Myers fell into that category
- GilPerreault11

I don't know if Murray considered Myers " trash " he just wanted a young goal scorer and that was what he moved Myers for. Murray see's Bogosian as a value to this team now and for the future but IMO he seen Myers as yet another asset but a asset that has a lot of value. 2 totally different D men in Myers and Bogosian, Bogo plays the style that Murray wants and Myers didn't, not that Myers is a bad D man because he's not but Murray wanted a different style of player.

Been watching the Blues-Bruins highlights and i have to say, I want no part of Eriksson on this team.

The way he looked out there reminds me of the complaints on Vanek. When he's not scoring points he's hurting the team more than helping it. Not sure what happened to that two way game of his but it was non existent tonight.

Never allow it to be said that I do not have a sympathetic heart.

I feel for you SB.

I just wish the whole thing was over with (Myers talk), I grow weary of the redundancy.
