who wants subban now in net for the sabres?
- homiedclown

I said before, I think the Bruins effed themselves over by "showcasing" him. The price is now lower than what was perceived. If not, he doesn't get moved. But Stewart + 2nd rounder is fair, IMO. I do not want Eriksson and they need help scoring lately. They can then flip that 2nd for some help on the back end. They are stuck with Rask for the foreseeable future.

yup, throw in a later pick if needed

gives the B's a little cap space for next season as smith will probably cost them 3 mil per

Problem with dealing with Boston is you'd have to take salary back if you're sending them Stewart for a prospect.

bruins, pens, panthers, sharks, kings and stars

all of these teams should be trying to make a move in the next 48 hours

pens went from a top 4 team in the east to a wild card team in just a few weeks and crosby has something like 2 goals in the last 21 games

They are in a rough spot.

Do they move forward with that core (Krech, Bergy, Chara, Lu, etc) or do they start over? Keep a couple key guys, and keep the youngins like Smith, Hamilton, Subban, etc, and deal some of the expensive, older vets?

Any chance they trade us Cris Kelley, Malcom Subban for Chris Stewart, a 2nd round pick and future considerations?

the beat writer was on xm nhl earlier this week

he thought if they got in, and played descent in first rd, even if they lose the series, he expected business as usual

if they miss or get bounced ugly in the first rd, he expected big changes, from gm to coach, to maybe moving chara, seidenberg and a few high priced players up front

and they play florida 3 times in the last dozen games of the season

Lu has one more year on his contract, as well. Wouldn't be surprised to see him moved.

Eberle for Lucic?

This guy. Plus, he's a better McCormick. Boston needs to unload some salary, we can take it.

I do not think that murray will be looking to add salary unless a massive return is coming his way with the upside player and giving the b's stewart and a second for subban straight up IMO is an overpay on Murray's part

I think the salary he takes back will be for players with 1 or 2 years left that can play on the top 2 lines or top 4 d

maybe an upper end goalie with only 2 years left on his deal (Anderson or Pavelec)

Me, too.

Spotrac has individual breakdowns on contracts.

Here's Lu's:

they must have said 11 out of 13 games w/o a goal

they are struggling up front and I expect an early exit

I know.

That trade makes too much sense.

Accountable veteran in Lu, just what the Oilers need.

As it stands right now they'd play either the Isles or Habs. I could see them beating both
