Lack of Self awareness is a very ugly thing. I agree.

That makes sense from Avs perspective...which ultimately is king since they own the asset.
That said, from Sabres perspective, or GMTM's, he may want to eliminate as much competition by dealing now...so over pay now perhaps to increase the chances of him winning.
Two sides to the coin.
I just don't know that we have the right players now to help them this year..maybe, maybe not.
I would certainly try for it though.

Yea I think it would take the avs saying they are complete sellers. If they still think they have a chance at the playoffs then no way he gets traded before the deadline. If they think otherwise then we have a chance trading picks and prospects for him.

would think that ennis fits into long(er)-term plans as he's had a modicum of success on crappy teams and murray signed him to an extension

I'd like to see more of Grigorenko at the NHL level before I could give a more educated answer.
For a demure guy, Ennis plays with a ton of grit and spunk now and of course, I like that.
I could see Ennis making a big enough difference in a playoff series if he is playing at peak level.
