That was 1 of the first things I tried when I first got active - also the same time posters were getting bans for gifs on Eks blog. I'll try again. Cheers. - Aussiepenguin

I thought Bennett was pretty good tonight too. Hopefully he'll be solid on our 3rd line. With Comeau playing this way it makes it harder for him to jump up.
Solid win. 4-2. Florida next |

I think Sill has a picture of JR or Mario screwing a goat or something... the amount of time hes gotten this season is just insulting to all of the NHL. - Guile
I don't have the same hatred that everyone else on here has for Sill, he is what he is, but he's a better player than Adams and he will fight and win the fight when called upon, he's literally Adams but younger and can fight and win the fight. Adams does nothing well and when he is out you know he cant receive a pass or create something and he's so smug about it. At least Sill tries, his effort may me misappropriated but his effort is there and he's still young enough to learn/ |

Ok, help me out here.
The Comeover PPG came after Tanger played behind the net, I don't see any games but is that something that goes on with a standard Pens PP going behind the net ala Gretzky?
If it's not then....... |

I thought Bozak was making $4M+ already.
Staal would be cool to have If we could involve Sutter and Scuderi on the deal. |
|
|
|
I'd take back Staal for 6 million
I don;t care about the $$$, he makes 2.7 million more then Sutter, we can save 2.7 million somewhere else |

"Penguins with regular presence in New Jersey lately, Leafs covet Scott Wilson in talks for Winnik"
"Dreger wouldn't be surprised for the Penguins to look into Daniel Winnik again before March 2nd. "Penguins look at Winnik as being a good fit for Sutter and Spaling," Dreger said."
"Among rental defensemen, Inside Pittsburgh Sports has previously reported the Penguins have expressed interest in Edmonton's Jeff Petry, New Jersey's Marek Zidlicky and have joined the crowded list of suitors for Hurricanes defenseman Andrej Sekera, the most highly coveted defenseman on the market." |

If Dupuis is done and if Sutter is shipped out as part of the deal that's $7.1 mil off the books. Then you take Staals $6mil off and you have about $1.1 for a winger (Kapanen). As long as the cap climbs it could work |

It would depend on what is given up of course, but Staal at $6m is still the best 3C in the game as opposed to Sutter at $3.5m who is one of the worst 3Cs in the game.
EDIT: Sutter is $3.3m/yr. |

Just read an article on the Mantador death. The Chicago something tells of Bettmans actions for protecting the players brains. It says that his death could lead to the elimination of fighting due to the enhanced risks fighting brings to brain injury.
Can I just say what a load of crap that is. Ok fighting has the 'potential' to cause injury, when was the last time a player suffered a head injury through fighting - what is old mates name who played for the Habs with the big moe? Was it him? How many fights have occurred since then?
How many concussions have occurred since then due to other reasons? How many contacts have injured after similar contact incidents went unsanctioned due to the NHL's 'no injury no suspension' unwritten rule?
(frank)in DisneyLand!! Bettman should be held personally accountable for some of the decisions he makes. If it affects his wallet he will change the attitude of some of these players that injure others. |
