Duchene was injured for the last 12 games or so, he Centered a line of McGinn and PAP to end the season and in the playoffs with Dutch out

He'll probably be gone or a 3rd liner by the time we're ready. Could maybe add Girgensons to that list too


The more i think about it if they can't get O'Reilly on a fair price id rather they just wait and go big for 1st liner.

Lines got all screwed up to the the season since since Tangs, Duchene and PAP were all injured to end the season. Mitchell was hurt too. And since the Stastny, Landy, MacK line was on fire, they were not break that up

I think he'd be alright on the wing on the 2nd line. Regardless, I im rethinking my position on acquiring ROR. If Myers wasn't enough to get him then it would probably take something ridiculous on our end to make it work. You could package Zadorov in a deal for him but at that point you may as well just go all in and get a 1st line guy with term left.

I think it was a McKenzie or LeBrun comment about ROR trade is that teams would be wanting to talk to his agent to gauge resigning interest. They can't negotiate an extension prior to July 1st but if teams feel confident of resigning him and knowing his demands, makes the trade easier.

But Avs management has always been very secretive, you never know something is going down until the last minute. Nothing ever leaks, so if there isn't any stories about teams talking to his Agent, probably hasn't happened yet so the potential of them shopping him is slim if nothing has leaked
