Gotta love the brainchilds in the States that have 'Hockey Day in Murica' on the same day of the great American race the Daytona 500.
There are more fans in the stands at Daytona then all of the fans combined watching hockey in the States today.

Some tracks have seen a 75% attendance drop off, but no one in Nascar talks about it. |

" I'd rather see the Canucks working the other end of the spectrum, trading their own impending UFA, Matthias, for a piece that can help the team over the long term."
I hope they don't trade Matthias, hes actually been doin pretty good lately.... maybe trade someone like Richardson, if he's healthy before the deadline that is, I think as long as they keep Matthias as center he will be a productive player in the future for us.
plus he was part of the Bobby Lou trade, we got to make this trade look less like garbage for the Canucks! |

The only racing worth watching is F1 and MotoGP. |

Why? the quicker we get rid of all the Lou pieces the quicker we can wipe it from our minds. |

Agree MOTOGP has been great but F1 was a bit tough to watch last year. The cars were so bloody slow at seasons start it was troublesome to comprehend. They are supposed to be the most advanced racing vehicles on the planet and every 6-7 years Ecclestone and his idiots do this. They try to 'even the field' when even after slowing the cars down and making them more 'driver orientated' one or two teams dominate and the rest play catch up. Leave them the hell alone and let them construct the best car possible...I hope we haven't seen the best days of F1 gone. But Ecclestone is such an idiot very much in the way of Bettman....hopefully they are quicker this season and don't sound like a bloated four stroke... |

F1 should be interesting this year. 2nd year of turbo charged engines and a lot of drivers switched teams. |

I do believe it's time we move on from Richardson.
But I still don't understand the consensus on the Lou trade. We got rid of a mouthpiece/attitude based choker that had lost the starting job twice in two seasons to goalies that really weren't better than him overall. Plus watching him play to get traded his final two seasons here was laughable.
Matthias has been a bonus and trade or resign we have done well there and Markstrom has the ability to be a no.1 here.
We did just fine in the Lou deal.
