Very good point, I agree and markstrom still has a chance but as of right now I don't see anything that suggests he will be better than lack. - belcherbd
I think Lack is of the Reimer mold. Great back up goalie |

I agree. I'd keep Markstrom but to each their own I guess.
More importantly, we can't trade Kassian unless the return is huge. We just need to put him and other guys like Jensen in positions to succeed instead of giving the Higgin's 2nd line minutes.
I'm sick of seeing offensive players thrown to the bottom 6 and then being called out for lack of production. - golfingsince
I'm not saying the return has to be huge. But it has to be a nice piece |

Their Swedish numbers are a good beromitor considering it was the same team - Bieksa#3
It was also 5 years ago. I would prefer to look at more recent results in N.A. |

Hey Bud, I usually love your recipes but I don't think anyone is having a Birthday party for an 8 yr old girl. I will keep this until that day. - A_SteamingLombardi

Currently markstrom has been hot but his career numbers still are not as good as lacks.
Lack 923 markstrom 917 in ahl.
Lack 912 markstrom 896 in NHL.
In Sweden you are right markstrom had better numbers. - belcherbd
you also must take into account, before being traded to Vancouver, Markstrom did not have a goalie coach since coming to North America, its a huge adjustment, especially if you don't have a goalie coach |

Were you not suggesting that the reason kassian is playing well because of WD tough love approach?
I don't understand why WD gets credit for kassian playing well. - belcherbd
You have to stretch it to see that. Why not take it as it's written. I don't see why people are getting upset about Kassian's treatment. I'll wait til he disappears to demand changes. Do I think he deserves the treatment? I don't know. Based on his on ice play lately, no.... but whats to complain about. He's our hottest player right now. I trust the coach's decisions more than I trust Kassian's focus long term that's for sure.

Florida has and did have a goalie coach, that was just some BS created likely by nuck fans to justify why he never turned the corner in florida |

Again he's 24, which is a normal time for a prospect to start blooming. As a projected power forward, he's just getting there. I'd be absolutely pissed if we gave him away for anything less than a big return.
Looking at the much overused Bert comparison, it's right about now that the Isles dealt him and about 2 years later he was tearing it up. |

While there's certainly some truth to this. Why isn't the same done with Willies pets? Vey? - Bieksa#3
Who would you rather to play at his full potential right now? Kassian or Vey?
Hockey players are not two lumps of silver on a scale. How players are dealt with by coaches is not a fine example of equality on the job. Why would it be.... thats not how you get the most out of individuals. |

Fair enough, I trust WD as well, even if I don't understand some of the choices. It sounded to me you were attributing kassian's success to WD, which I disagreed with. He deserves credit for the way he is playing right now. |

There's only an argument if one believes that all the credit goes to one or the other.... why do things have to be that way with people? It's all Kassian or it's all the coach? I'm not that narrow minded thank you...

Like u say when people respond to your posts, your assuming something rather then reading the post?
Straight up why not hold both to high standards? |
