You mean there are hockey players that are expected not to play well?

I think people can't help themselves in thinking that scratching a player is punishment. It happens but coaches use it to motivate most of the time. Kassian is bouncing back after the scratches. Hard to convince the coach he's (frank)ing it up.

This team desperately needs Kassian to *play* himself into the top six and stay there. He's not two way bottom six. There's little to lose in pushing him extra hard at this age. He's far from a kid now and they need to make a decision on him by the summer I expect.

Like u say when people respond to your posts, your assuming something rather then reading the post?
Straight up why not hold both to high standards?

This is a question for every single coach who has ever coached. Never have I seen this champion of equality behind the bench that you hold up as a measuring stick. It sounds maybe how one would coach a group of children.

Big mistake by Kassian there. Needs to shoot the puck out, not try and skate it out.

So? It's not just age. Kassian has been in NHL games in 4 seasons now, is nowhere near a rookie and has a much higher value at full potential than those two. It's not the exact situation that deserves identical treatment across the board. That's the point that gets ignored over and over here.

Raymond needs to start producing or they should play Jensen instead.

I did. Both are expected high standards. You don't think both are? Maybe try not to judge standards by the individual treatments the coaches decides on. I don't think it's that simple. I explained this enough times for you.

Vey turns the puck over. He doesn't get benched. Vey has no future as a bottom 6. I'm not sure why Vancouver derspretely needs kassian to be a top6 now but Vey can mope about with no consequences. You can't deny this. Its a double stabarf

One give away is good enough for a benching, I suggest you watch the whole game and count if any others do it.

Kassian

(no we will not sell 'high' - he is definitely a keeper and is playing better and better and has certainly picked up his consistency level - still a way to go but the future seems to look quite bright)

I think he is saying different players respond to different methods, kassian might need tough love vs vey needs to be coddled.

Why didn't you comment on Hansen not getting it in deep, or Biega making a brutal turnover in his own zone?
