Glencross is making 2.5 per right now and IMO you could resign him for something similar on a 2-3 yr deal.
He plays a similar game to Stewart and could cost what we'd all seemingly like to see Stewart re-upped for.
Only issues is he's a lw and is 4 yrs older. - dadeadhead
I don't see Glencross as a good fit for this team. Trying to sketch out next year's lineup.
Kane-Girgensons-Ennis
Moulson-Mr. Franchise-FA/Grigs/Reinhart
Foligno-FA/Grigs/Reinhart-Hodgson?/Gionta
Deslauriers-McCormick-Kaleta/FA/Flynn
Larsson an x-factor. This summer he'll either be re-signed to his role as a checking line guy or will be traded to someone who will use him in top 6 or 3rd line scoring. Glencross brings a little more scoring and salary than Foligno, but he's also way outside the team age. I can't see Murray wanting to give up a whole lot of anything to grab him. Even for Stewart. |

They might go after someone that isn't lazy for 3/4 of a season though... - jochfr

I know, but Boston is in panic mode now! Might have to overpay for a player like Stewart. Krejci out 4-6 weeks!! - Irish 14
We'll see Irish. How badly does Chiarelli want Stewart will be the deciding factor as to what we get back from the B's. |

Subban (Boston) for Stewart & 2nd? B's might have to overpay! - Irish 14
Despite them likely saying no to that offer, they need to get rid of cap space to acquire Stewart. Or most any guy. |

That hurts... Shouldn't they be looking for a center though? |

IMO there is going to be a surprise forward not here come draft time.
I do think Gringo and Hodgson(or bought out in his case) are moved but I have a feeling Ennis is the surprise move no one sees coming. |

They should trade for Berglund, if it'll fit in their cap situation. |

I'm fine with Ennis moving as long as we get a consistent 65-70 pt winger in return. |

Hello folks. Looks like I'm stuck in buffalo another day (daughter got the flu bug) I've missed some of the conversation here over the last few days.
I can say I miss this place (Buffalo) it was good being back hers especially for my dad's retirement game (thanks Irish for the words again) makes me remember why I miss this place so much. I'm cemented here in spirit and even though the concrete has cracked it won't crumble my feelings about home.
My thoughts on the team: Neuvirth should get a shot being the guy the next 2 years (2 years 6 million should do it) but for the rest of the year he should get sick his play is hurting the tank.
The price for Stewart is rising he will be dealt deadline day.
I wouldn't mind Subban from Boston but he isn't ready yet.
TM said McEichel and I laughed really hard
I wouldn't mind Mitchell being back but he should be attractive depth for a few playoff teams
Pysyk and McCabe played pretty well.
Zadorov needs to get his act together but I wouldn't be shocked to see him moved
Bogosian is a tank...the good kind. |
