If you read into that it does imply that they have talked about him. It isn't surprising that they haven't talked since as we have no desire to bring him in before the summer (and they probably don't either) - Slump Buster

gringo busted his ass over the summer and was rewarded by being passed up in the starting lineup for the season
IMO if they do not give him a shot next season, he will bolt

If Darcy never screwed up gringos contract and kept him in juniors no one would be labeling him a bust. He was a highly touted prospect and would of stayed in juniors for 2 years, tearing it up like he did while there. This would of been his first season in the roc where he has looked good. Everyone would be excited about him. Why do people love mantha and not him? Gringo scored just as good as him in QMJHL and has a better first season in Roc. He's not a throw away player

Different Sherrifs in town now. I think the message to Grigorenko got through last summer from the same new Sherrifs. And, Big Z had a gun to the team's head.
I'm pulling for Grigy, would love for him to make the big club and contribute.
I think sending him down and keeping him in the A is only going to help his game longterm.

Although I do agree that Grigs doesn't exactly fit the mold of what Murray seems to be going after, every team needs high end skill to compete. Grigs has it in spades and it is currently being developed. He was drafted that high because of his ceiling, not because of his NHL readiness. He's a lot more physical and 2 way capable than Hodgson is or ever will be. Don't throw the towel in on Grigs.
