Cost too much , wait until free agency. Trading for Yandle or another big name is too expensive.
Clendenning Biega Stanton and Sbisa are fine for 6/7 Dmen.
Kassian has 10 PTs in his last 10 games , maybe he is a top 6 .
I think you might be disappointed by the lack of movement by Canucks over the next week. I think Benning likes this team as is. - VANTEL
I wouldn't mind a rental D-man, maybe Meszaros or Leopold if we could get them for a 4th rounder.
Otherwise I don't expect much action.
The current lineup is playing great despite missing key pieces. Roll with it.
This is great experience for the kids. |

Wait...
No McMillan?
So you want to tank? Or is this a joke lineup?
How could you omit our Juggernaut?

You do not trade away a great two way Center for I guy to play on the fourth line. No, no and no. |

Benning has said before he likes what we have so I haven't been expecting much.
No way we see a Yandle or big name now but a D depth move would be good.
Ad Weber to the mix of highlighted D you had mentioned and that's a pretty big crapshoot to roll with for 5-6 slots if we make playoffs. |

I like each line having it's own identity. The top line is working right now with their cycle/passing game.
Then I'd say our next best player is Vrbata so I'd try to find two players who compliment his game for an attempt at a 2nd line. He's a decent skater, not much of a factor in the cycle game, but dangerous off of the rush and likes to find open space to get set up for shots. I'd be intrigued by a Vey-Bonino-Vrbata line, definitely far from a legit 2nd line but I feel like they'd work well each other. All have good sh%'s so they don't need to win the possession battle to be effective offensively and I feel like they'd be good in transition for a counter-attack if they do spend some time chasing the puck around.
I know that third line has been hot so like the first line, I'm fine with leaving them as is.
So that leaves the "misfit" line of Higgins - Matthias - Dorsett, all 3 are good skaters and pretty good on the forecheck, but definitely lacking in offensive creativity, this line would probably not get many quality chances outside of individual efforts or just getting ugly goals but they should be decent possession-wise with Higgins out there. |

They don't have picks in the 3rd or 7th this year, they probably won't give up any more, especially for a rental. Could see them acquiring picks. |

Let' just hope we don't pull out a 9 game losing streak after all the injuries are back like the Flames did.
For whatever reason this curent lineup is playing with a bit of an edge and it is great to see...something to be said for a bit of chemistry. Injuries all coming back might piss on all that... |

I agree, it was a bad return..... if healthy Bonino wasn't playing well what makes you think returning from injury Bonino will be good enough to slot into the "2nd line".
Regardless, WD rolls 4 lines and it doesn't really matter which order I list the lines after the sedins. |

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this recently, but McCann is on fire in the OHL right now. 14 points in his last 5 games and is now top 15 in the OHL scoring race (30 goals, 42 assists, 50 games played). |

Yup, looking like a very solid draft +1 year for him, I wonder if he'll get a 9 game regular season tryout next year if he puts on some weight and has a strong camp next year. |

He might. I'd guess that they send him back for one more year of junior though. The Greyhounds have an outstanding team, so he could be in some high pressure situations over the next little while. Plus, he may have a good shot at team Canada next year. |

Benning has been dropping hints about the summer fwiw. He's also talked about the summer being a better time to address the GT situation and I guess we can certainly understand that decision right now.

He is definitely having an encouraging year but I think it is worth noting that 3 pretty good players in Ritchie, Deangelo and Bailey have all been added recently to that team and play a lot of minutes as well with him. Kudos to McCann for capitalizing on the opportunity but I do wonder how much of an impact those players have had on him as well. |

For sure, it definitely doesn't hurt. But reading the comments from people who watch him regularly they all say that he's definitely earning his own points and not just riding shotgun with Ritchie, DeAngelo, etc. |

I think Hansen did this on purpose . I do believe he is a Eddie Lack fan or as rumours suggest Eddie paid Hansen to pull a Tanya Harding so he doesn't get traded from this fair city and his Legion of Eddie fans - VANTEL
