Without all the other points people have made this season about player development under him, I would have agreed with the acceptance to keeping Nolan. I'm just too frustrated now that a guy who is praised for "getting the best effort" out of his players hasn't shown that he can do that, so I personally don't want to see that fail with a new crop of actual talent.

I don't mean for this to come off as it seeming like I care about "fairness", but I do agree in some manner that Nolan has been given a bad hand to play with - but he's getting paid millions to do so (I believe) and knew what he was getting into, so that wipes out any fairness argument for me.

This is what has bothered me the most. I figured the team wouldnt look so damn lost almost on a nightly basis. However at the rate edmonton is at it has turned out to be a blessing.

I liken it to having your hands tied behind your back and being told to hit the pinata without using your feet. Nolan knew it would be difficult, if not impossible but there is still some reward for trying right?

Yeah...like so 56 days ago.

To be honest, I was kind of surprised he wasn't included in the Evander Kane trade. Even before these issues, I was sure that if the Sabres acquired Kane, Zadorov would be going the other way.

IMO there is going to be a surprise forward not here come draft time.

I do think Gringo and Hodgson(or bought out in his case) are moved but I have a feeling Ennis is the surprise move no one sees coming.

If the thought is that we are gonna try & take advantage of a team close to the cap, they would want someone cheaper than Ennis... Maybe Foligno?
I actually would be surprised if there's another major trade made.
It aeems to me like everyone is assuming it's gonna be easy for Murray to make another big deal, and I'm not so sure that's the case.
