Did you hear the list of goalies we played in our 9 regulation wins???

Quick and price

Reimer and Montoya

5 goalies that no one ever heard of besides the teams that we beat and us cringing when we won those games. Forsberg was the worst goalie I ever saw last night. You won't see two worse goals then the first two scored on him ever again

I don't know. The ones Lindback allowed when he faced Buffalo with Dallas were downright awful.

So I see y'all are in panic mode.

Edmonton won a game they should not have.

Like I said yesterday, it happens to every team.

- ImThatGuy

Honestly I'm panicking much more over AZ than EDM. EDM's playing 450-500 hockey. AZ is playing January-Buffalo hockey.

Neuvirth will come back to earth.

That being said, I hope he is not traded, and is extended in the summer.

- buffalofan19

At the very least, I hope he's signed this summer no matter his future. Would you guys take him over Niemi?

I don't think Neuvirth has ever been given a fair shot. I think this is his chance, and he obviously knows it. The issue I have with him, is whether he can stay healthy. He's really just of the age that lines up well with the rebuild, IMO.

At this point, yes, because he would be cheaper.

I don't think you can risk letting him go and assume he'll come back in the summer. Matt Moulson was the exception to the rule (the fact that Buffalo was willing to live with highway robbery didn't hurt either). If you want him around long term, you don't trade him. The same goes for Chris Stewart, but hopefully he's gone. I would really rather someone else regret signing him long term.

Why risk it? Get him out of here now. We've come too far to worry about keeping a guy that has played a handful of nice games.

The concern with having to pick 3rd (or later) is the main reason why Murray cannot go after another big name player (like O'Rielly), one because he will make the team better, but also because he may want to save his "assets" to dangle to go up a spot or two. I don't think any team should trade either of those two picks, but I am not them. Maybe 3 prospects gets it done (with the 3rd) to move up 1 or 2 spots (depending on the team and if we have what they need).

Basically, this season is a step backward if we don't draft in top 2. We need the franchise center (along with Rienhart), not another D man (even if he projects high), looking at the game last night, with more of what we expect our D to be in the future, they are all fine. No real need to do much work there, just hope we don't trade too much to get another forward (if that happens). After watching Psysk, no way you can trade him. He will be a rock back there. As much as I like Zadorov, I would see him as the highest D trading "asset" that we currently would not mind trading.

Ask Dallas why you risk it, or Edmonton or PHX. Pitt in the playoffs. Philly for a long time

Bad goal tending can kill a team.

But you're assuming that this guy is different than the other 10 guys just like him that are going to be available. Two weeks ago we wouldn't have cared if they cut him. There is very little to gain and everything to lose by keeping him. If we want him bad enough we'll pay him in the summer.

And you are assuming he is better. Like you said two weeks ago you would not have cared, all the sudden the Sabres get a few points (Which happens to every team) and Neuiverth is ruining everything.

I keep hearing this. If he is traded what is so certain he comes back?

If he we get McEichecl and he doesn't come back, so freaking what? I'll take McEichel and (fill in the blank) instead of Hanifan and Neuvirth any day of the week.

Where are all of the clowns that were upset 6 weeks ago that we didn't look more competitive while losing? How is that feeling now? 5 and 6 points is absolutely nothing to make up. In the last week Edmonton cut the lead by 3 points and Arizona cut it by 6.

I hate seeing guys get injured but I'm kinda happy Girgs is done for the season. Should help some. Ennis is probably only day to day..but every little bit helps

I have to agree. I'd rather finish 29th than wish a player on my team breaks his ankle.
