I still wish we got either Etem or DSP back in the Ryan Kesler trade.

Would have been nice to grab him this morning, i bet Benning could have offered more value then Sekac, though the "within the division" argument could be applied. |

If I had to pick I'd actually rather suffer an embarrassing loss to Buffalo if it means beating the Bruins in Boston instead. Ideallt they win both games though
Am I the only one who wants to see Markstrom get his first start again Buffalo? Why not give him an easy game to get his confidence going at this level? He has all the talent, it's just the mental part holding him back at the NHL level IMO.
Also for the poolies: There's a new message board post. - Nucker101

I wouldn't take DSP over Bonino and I'm not sure about Etem. I bet the Ducks would have happily have given up DSP over Bonino or the first in what looks to be a pretty decent draft so far judging by the draft+1 seasons.
Don't think ANA was willing to give up DSP or Etem over Sbisa though, especially knowing Benning had has hands tied.
I don't think DSP was a player they were desperately trying to move, they probably liked Sekac and were likely one of the teams who wanted to sign him when he chose MTL. Who knows if the Canucks had a player they liked as much and were willing to swap DSP for, seems like they wanted a young LW'er since Sekac is just 22. |

He's a young d-man and joining a new team/system. I'd wait for more than 11 games to judge him. I'm not expecting more than a 5/6 D-man who plays on the PP even once he matures. |

Yeah it's not exactly like the PP is any good. |

The first unit is actually fine, it's the complete pile of poop we have for the 2nd unit that holds this team back. |

Because Van only has maybe 1 legitimate second line forward, the rest of third liners. I'm right now penciling in Grenier and Gaunce on the 4th line next year. Big bodies. |
