I think kane will grow on people next year. I would have liked to have kept armia, but when kane was armia's age he scored 30. - zdp1189

Murray: Wednesday was the busiest since the Kane trade. Speaking with WGR and the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, he said he received 3 or 4 phone calls from teams regarding trades. The Sabres GM also noted he would like to move forward with upcoming RFA Tim Schaller. He's also been impressed with Mark Pysyk. "We have high expectations".

I wonder if one of those teams calling was the Bruins. - mhp
I bet it was
I wonder if one was the Avs like one of our inside guys said last week how they spoke for two hours last week. Not that that trade will happen |

Please stop!
You all have to admit I have been a good boy on here of late, but please stop with what DARCY did or what he left! He had 15 years to build/tear down and NEVER had the balls to make that "take a chance type of deal" to push this team over the top (see Evander Kane deal).
Because TM traded your boy, you need to let it go! - Irish 14
Darcy did a great job stocking the cupboards for Murray
Love or hate the job Darcy did overall, u can't deny he did a good job starting this rebuild |

He did get it started .
He did some good things but never great things with the team. I don't want to wait another bunch of years on his idea.
Time for a change. - cabin

I'm not saying I don't like the trades either. In fact, I do like them both. However, the fact is, he gave up a lot for both players, no matter how you slice it. - buffalofan19
Maybe we have different knives. I consider Myers-Bogosian to be a wash, different players but I don't think one is much better than the other.
Stafford was gone anyway so from there is basically a late 1st, Armia and Lemieux for Kane. Idk if I'd consider that "a lot". Its certainly not nothing, and when the trade was announced my first thought was wow that's a lot. Now after letting it sink in, I'm not sure it really is. |

My guess is the calls came from Boston, Colorado and either Anaheim or Calgary. |

You and broads need to understand your "fact" comments are opinions. How these trades pan out are still under review, that is a fact! |

He gave up more than just about anyone would for a player like Hudson Fasching.
He gave up a ton to land Evander Kane and Zach Bogosian. He absolutely has to be right about these guys. - buffalofan19
Two mid 2nd round picks for a solid prospect? Hardly overpaying |

I guess my point is that he paid far from a bargain price to land the guys he did. He gave up more assets, and fairly high-end assets at that, to land the ones he wanted. I said he gave up a lot. I didn't say he gave up the farm. |

they were also in on Myers - Homer
Reygher(sp), McBain, Sekera, and McNabb
and I personally hated the 2 2nds and McNabb for former 3rd and 4th round picks |

Other than Boston, it seems like the rest of them are looking for Defense, and I don't think we can afford to give any up at this point. There's just not much depth behind the guys currently ready to make the jump from Rochester. |

I don't want Wiz here if that's what you mean. He's injured too frequently and on the wrong side of 30 IMO. |
