Im not hung up on losing lemieux, I know armia needed to adjust to the north american game but kane scored 30 while armia has barely sniffed the nhl. Im very excited to see kane in 2/3 years on mceichels wing.

I think the trade is blah no matter what.

IMO McDavid or Eichel are players that can make decent players really good. I would have rather seen them trade Myers ++ for a bona-fide franchise defensemen (not that they are available all the time )

What I found interesting is the amount of Jets fans who were done with Kane. It makes me nervous that most of the fan base turned on a talented kid like him

Yes, he did. Kane & Toews butted heads more than once with Toews basically telling him to grow up.
I don't know to what extent you've seen Jets fans talking, but there definitely Hawks fans ready to trade Kane & even rumors that the Hawks mgmt was considering it

Evander certainly needs to grow up as well
Hopefully a fresh start will work out...

Idk if he stays at RW, but I could see him start there.
He did play RW on McDavid's line 2 of 3 years on the Nat'l team.
And it's not uncommon for smaller guys to start on the wing to help ease their way into the league. McKinnon comes to mind as a recent example. Seguin also.
