I have come to the realization tonight that it isn't going to happen. In fact, I am thinking 29th may not happen either.

Picking 1st or 2nd is all that matters. It doesn't matter what pick.....just 1 of the top 2.

I actually haven't thought about the first pick at all this year. Know it is never going to happen. It has been about picking 2nd for me all year and now we are just 2 games from throwing it all away..........

I think the kid wants some assurances, ala Ruhwedel, that he'll get some playing time in the NHL this season with whoever he signs with. Murray said today that will whittle the teams down to about 7 or 8 that will be able to afford that to him, and he said that the Sabres can offer that.

His agent is seeking assurances that he'll see some NHL action this year (kind of like a signing bonus, if you will), like they did with Ruhwedel.

And Murray said today on GR that the Sabres could oblige him.

Not with that attitude.

Brian Boyle 26th and Jeff Tambellini 27th were/are nothing special and the players they got via moving them did nothing for them either. Oh and both were taken over Corey Perry 28th.

Looking at the last 20 games for each team, I had AZ going 5-13-2 giving them 59 pts. I see EDM going 5-11-4 giving them 60 pts. And I think BUF goes 5-12-3 giving us 56 pts. Pretty close if that's the case. Having 2 games against AZ is HUGE. On this date last year we had a 5 pt cushion on EDM with 2 games in hand.

Matt O’Connor has become a hot commodity in NHL circles.

Per TSN, 14 clubs have expressed an interest in signing O’Connor, the 6-foot-5 undrafted free agent that recently backstopped the Terriers to the Beanpot Trophy.

O’Connor, 23, has reportedly met with a number of teams already and will continue to court suitors before signing anywhere. He’s 17-3-4 this year with a .929 save percentage and 2.10 GAA, his first as BU’s clear-cut No. 1 — last year and the season before he split time with Sean Maguire, Pittsburgh’s fourth-round pick at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, who is sitting out this year as a medical redshirt.

By the way.
That was by far the most spirited game that I have seen Larsson play thus far.
Pretty good game for that entire line, Larsson with Varone and Dalpe to be honest.
I do not recall that line ever really getting hemmed in inside their own zone for too long while creating some good chances going the other way.
If not for nothing they forechecked well in the opposing zone for some half way decent zone time. (puck possession)
Color me impressed and optimistic.

Hate to admit it. could have been the same outcome with Miller in net for them. Prolly not but a good chance. I think the team played pretty decent when they shouldn't have.

Miller on this team his last season was in 30th place and he had some decent players in front of him still. They'd be in 31st somehow if he was still with the team.

Watch Zadorov come back after being scratched... and be on fire.

The ship will eventually right itself. Just hopefully not too late.
