Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Review: Lack and Kassian Lead the Charge Over Bruins The Vancouver Canucks won the third game of their current Eastern road trip when Zack Kassian scored his second-straight game-winning goal to beat the Boston Bruins 2-1 on Tuesday night.

I thought after they scored the early goal it was going to be a long night. I have to admit Boston dominated the game and how does this team miss the playoffs?

Good effort by everyone. Clendenning had his first bad night , hopefully it was a good learning experience

Because the team we saw last night does not show up on a regular basis. I'm sure boston was pumped to play us.

I've seen some bruins' games this year and they look slow and old, especially Chara. Too much hockey I guess.

Kassian reminded me of a young Cam Kneely on that goal.

I watched some cricket the other day. Not going to lie. The atmosphere was freakin crazy. It was rather entertaining.

Chara is still wearing a brace on that knee. It will limit your mobility. Not that ever was THAT mobile to begin with. lol

Exited! Our best scenario was playing the flames in first round and letting LA and Ducks beat themselves up.

I think Kassian has gotten the message. Showing management what he can really do or at least showcasing his skills before the trade deadline.

If your Benning, do you keep him now??

I watched some of the India-Pakistan game just because it's supposedly the biggest rivalry in all of sports. It's still too similar to baseball for me to really get into it. I think I'll always be more of a hockey/football fan. Although I do enjoy some basketball(March Madness and the NBA playoffs).

Some random OHL writer apparently says he asked for a trade awhile ago. Could just be BS, but who knows?

I like how WD is using him, IMO he's better suited to playing with offensive players and should also get PP time. Play him at 5v5 when you need offense, but when you're up in the game then limit his ice and probably bench him for the last few minutes of a game if you're up by 1.

It ain't over yet. But, yeah, it looks like LA will leapfrog us into 2nd in Pacific, which means we play them with home ice disadvantage.

In that scenario I'd rather play Nashville, which would mean we'd need to slip to one of the wildcard spots, likely W2.

I honestly don't think Kassian will ever be consistent in his career. He does have some talent, that much is clear, but it's usually showcased in spurts (like the one he's in now).

If I were Benning I would trade him for a similarly young D man who might show some promise but hasn't put it all together yet. So like-for-like in a sense. Trading Kassian for a rental or a pick, unless it's decent 1st rounder, is pointless IMO.

I thought I heard Botch mention on the radio the other day that Kassian had asked for a trade at some point. That being said, if it was just because he wanted to play then trade requests get reversed very quickly when you find yourself flanking the Sedins, scoring goals every game and the whole city loving you.
