Apparently the asking price is something like a good, young top 6 forward plus a top prospect or 1st.

No doubt he comes with a price tag but he's exactly what we need to generate some offense from D, QB the PP, etc. We haven't had anything like him in a while and giving up some assets would be worth it.

That said, he's a UFA after next season so I do wonder just how much ARI could get for him.

Yeah, but the Canucks would probably have to give up Horvat or Virtanen + Bonino to get it done. Apparently ARI/PHX has been open to moving him for a couple of years now but no one has paid their sky high asking price.

I think a deal like that would set this franchise back, long-term.

Not worth the price, if he makes it to FA then talk to him, but we have to sign Tanev first.

Bonino + Kassian or Bonino + Jensen/Gaunce would fit the bill you noted they're looking for. I doubt they'd find much better offered for 1 year and a bit of Yandle's guaranteed services.

I don't think he'd be that cheap, if he was I'd make that deal then flip him for a top young player or true bluechip prospect.

If they could get a true bluechip prospect they'd have done it already. I'd try to re-sign the guy in the summer. We need an offensive D-man like him and he's 28, so not old.

Yandle for Bonino + Jensen/Guance I would do in a heartbeat, hope Benning would as well. I personally dont think Arizona would bite.

Not sure how McKeown has done this year but a 1st + 2nd (with one year's maturing) is a pretty sweet bit of business for a pending UFA.

Well, there's absolutely no chance we tempt ARI for Yandle now.
