Would anyone trade Bieksa for Patrick Sharp straight up?

With the demand for D dwindling before TDL and the supply really crap I think we can get way more for KB then just sharp. If Sharp + TT I would do it. Meyers is off the market. Skera is done as well. that leaves Yandle and JW (was a healthy scratch as early as last week and has high cap hit) Phaneuf (huge cap hit to take at tdl) I think as TDL draws closer we will see players like Petry fetch what Skera fetched.

Petry won't bring in what Sekera just did. Keep in mind that LA are making (yet another) serious bid for the SC so they'd pay a bit more for a more offensive-minded Dman they've lacked since Voynov left. Petry is a solid Dman but offers no offensive upside - I just can't see any team offering a 1st for him, let alone a 1st +. Yandle, I'm with you on.

Value is subjective though. EDM can say Petry is worth a 1st + 2nd all day long but if no one pays that price, that is not in fact the price. Something's only as valuable as what someone is willing to pay for it.

Big deal, even if we made it out of the first round (Yes Nucker, it's a possibility albeit a small one) we would have to play them anyways.

From what Vantel posted earlier, this guy is freakishly strong on his skates.

No kidding, if a 1st and a pretty good prospect gets you Sekera, even if its going to be a late 1st, what does it take to get Yandle or even Phaneuf??
