Fixed. He was throwing out that we are interested in Kessel today. This market would eat him alive. That fat (frank) needs to be in Florida or Phoenix where he can blend in.

LA would have felt extremely confident in their ability at making another cup run. More so than anyone else (now that Kane is on LTIR). They've been lacking that component Sekera brings since Voynov left. I highly doubt anyone else would have paid that price.

It's probably a misnomer to believe that this is a marker for the current trade market for above average Dmen.

- AlexF

Oh I am sure! LA looks to be in great position now. Vancouver in Round one.... then Anaheim who is good but their D is just not good enough. The only thing standing in their way is Nashville.

Good write up on Cassels. I like the way the team is trending with youth like Horvat, Cassels, Kenins, Virtanen etc. Gritty skilled guys, pretty much what this team has been lacking for 44 years.

Am I crazy....

TSN is showing a guy named McMillan, Left Winger who has played 53 games with the Canucks this year. WTF

EDIT

Oh I see, recent waiver pickup. Played those games with the ducks...

"Markstrom won’t get through waivers again. On an emergency recall for Miller, Markstrom can play nine games without being subject to waivers on a return to the AHL.

If he plays 10, he’s staying with the Canucks through the end of the season. It should be a happier stay than his last one."

Even if Miller is back, I'm sure they have the cap space to keep Markstrom on the roster for the playoffs. Short term it could be uncomfortable if they have to send a forward down to keep under 23 players, but once the season ends, they can have extra bodies on their active roster.

Omfg. There is no roster limit after the trade deadline. It won't matter, Canucks are able to do whatever they want.

Although they have to worry about re entry waivers.
