Would you have rather lost to Florida two nights ago and have Kane healthy or have what transpired? - KingB
That is a rhetorical question right? |

I think that with all these locker room rumors swirling, there has to be some validity. I mean, look at the evidence, albeit anectodal, rumors of things with Reif's wife, rumors with affairs, rumors with Sharp, rumors with Crow, rumors of Toews going to management, rumors of a fight now?
I think the key is ascertaining what the common denominators are and assuming the rest is BS. - Bjm84
This is some Bears level meltdown poop. |

Ross is listed at approximately 6' 180 lbs, but I swear to God he doesn't weigh that much. I love his physical game, but like Nordstrom, sometimes the hits he puts on other players are lacking in force. Somebody needs to buy the kid a couple of crave cases at White Castle. He could use another 10 to 15 lbs on his frame. - EKolb13
No doubt. For Ross' & Hartman's style a few more pounds are needed. Both seem to have a slightly bigger frame to work with than Shaw--who can hit for his size, but I think it's taking a toll. He hasn't looked right this season. |

Well, there are a lot of dressing room issue rumors out there right now. If this is true and goes with one rumor in particular, it would explain some things. And I think you could bet on one particular guy being gone in the next 72 hours or so. - John Jaeckel
A fist fight in the locker room is a lot more severe than some "dressing room issues" |

If true, guessing whomever is at the epicenter is #1 not playing particularly well & #2 will be included in a trade--soon |

The concept that winning a single game is the best retribution for teams assaulting Hawk skill players is wrong.
Petrovic's hit was not vicious or malicious; but every year Hawk skills players are being hurt partly because there is no fear or retribution. This is why, according to reports, players asked StanBo before camp to sign someone to protect. The best Bowman could do was get Carbomb and he is too small for the task. - KingB
Do you realize Lucic and Chara were both on the ice when Marc Savard was clocked and his career was ended? There are few players in the NHL who fear retribution. |

I know it sounds like a full on fledged dumpster fire in Chicago right now. At this point I am almost ready to just call it a day, trade salary, get younger and rebuild on the fly and make a run next year and the 5 after.

I'm fairly confident if we see #10 moved here soon (especially with the Kane injury) it verifies most everything we've been hearing in regards to rumors/altercations etc. |

If players feared retribution why would anyone have dared hit Savard that hard with two of the biggest meanest players on the ice for the Bruins? |

What other contracts was he short sighted on? - paulr
well jsut the obvious contracts already noted. THough outside of that i previously posted that the lack of unloading some of those contracts hasn't helped. Yeah Crow had a big year and playoffs and got his contract tough to argue that especially with the other options at G at that time. But I thought the model was build the team in from of an average goalie which will make him look better than he is. Not going to go into any of the already posted contracts that hurt.
Hey it's not an easy job but I feel like he finds himself with little to no room constantly. And saving $2-4 million on contracts seems like peanuts but would mean a lot now. Could that have been done with the contracts of Bicks, Crow, Toews, Kane, not sure but maybe the thought should have been T&K will be lookin for big contracts in 2014-15 and maybe we don't sign one of the others if they won't sign for a bit less. Or the more llikley option try to sell one of your key assets when the price is higher, a la Sharp last summer. Maybe he tried and it didn't work or maybe he just didn't like what was being offered. But it will be much less offered in the future my friend. |

Agree with this. Matt Cooke didn't fear Evander Kane, and got knocked out. These types of players will take an ass whooping and dish one out. 99% of hockey players aren't scared of retribution.
Also what's this talk of a fight?! Any details? Trouble in paradise? |

how can you argue with his point? Chara, a huge imposing/intimidating mountain of a man, and Lucic, a badass dude no matter if you love him or hate him, both there when Savard got knocked out.

It seems like there is too much smoke for there not to be some truth to these rumors. Especially with the locker room being closed off and Stan coming down to speak to the team and morning skate being cancelled this morning the beat writers seem to either be hinting at something or trying to direct attention away from it. |

The Hawks core is what sucks up most of that salary. You can point to Crawford's contract but it was in line with similar goalies. Bickell's was bad I don't really see many other bad contracts. |

She is infatuated with him unfortunately that does not translate into her watching any hockey games. Or maybe that is a fortunate thing. |

not really, theres been tons of rumors of turmoil in the locker room for awhile now. But nobody who knows anything will give ANY details at all. So theres no way to know anything that's going on. |

Dude Dale Tallon is not trading his future Captain and 1st round D-man who is having his best year and will only get better. Guddy is part of the core for years to come. He's an untouchable along with Bjugstad and Barkov. - BravePackCats27
Fair enough - I would have thought Ekblad would be that guy. In any case, it is the framework of how a trade can be made for both today and tomorrow for two teams that I was kind of stressing. |
