Markstrom should have got the nod tonight.
- LordHumungous

Results wouldnt have been any better. Canucks as a whole (From the amount of the game I saw) were horrendous.

Tough first game for the kid, I would have gone with him tonight but after Lack was lights out that would have been a tough call to make.
- Nucker101

WD second guessed himself and started Lack. He needs to stick with his original instincts when it comes to his netminders, it always burns him.

AZ is the next easy opponent, we'll see what happens.

For those keeping track... Hodgson, 9 min even, -2 on the night his team scores 6 goals... Kassian, 16:45, 0 on the night his team lets in 6...

we know who won that trade... lols..

Neuvirth wasn't really that good tonight though...
- Nucker101

he's now 3-1-2... which is not bad considering it's the Sabres who are looking to tank and he's single handedly making it possible they finish 29th....

He's been good lately, but just saying that I don't buy that the Canucks ran into a hot goalie or anything. They just flat out sucked and didn't show up.

I thought we played well, but are D made horrible plays at times which costed us goals. No one is talking about that player who went for a line change which made lack go out for the puck.

Canucks really seem to be one of the worst/lazy teams in the league with line changes.

I can't tell if the Canucks hosed the Sabres or if we shot ourselves in our own private parts?!? Have any injured players to trade us for Neuvirth?!

Well, that was irritating. Can't even really say where that game went wrong since the Canucks seemed to be controlling so much of the play, so we'll have to chalk it up to road weariness and move on.

Rationalism?

Worst case scenario, we miss the playoffs and by association all of our combined time....time watching this team over the course of an 82 game schedule which equates to over half a years dedication to watching the games week in week out in the pure and utter hope that a....what....top 16 pick turns out better then a bottom 14 pick?

Or perhaps we make the playoffs and...worse case scenario we get swept in the first round but at the very least enjoy what little playoff excitement and by association experience the team and us gain.

I dunno, i'm drunk as (frank) and have a mid-term tomorrow and yet i can't even begin to contemplate the rational behind wanting to tank at this point, as doing so wouldn't even guarantee a top ten pick let alone a sure fire impact player at the NHL level.

Playoffs or failure, for better or worse. I want the opportunity to get blasted among friends watching my beloved team in the playoffs come spring regardless of success or failure. (frank) the haters.

Had the team come out flat or below expectations at the starting gate and eliminated themselves from the opportunity of the post season i would be among the tankers but at this rate....(frank) it, anything can happen. (frank) L.A, nobody expected them to dominate us as contenders in 2012, why the (frank) can't this team do the same?

Tonight was a frustrating game. Most on here called the result of the game before they stepped on the ice. It had the makings of a disaster and Canucks didn't disappoint.

I just want to point out that I said we would beat Boston but lose to Buffalo, so I want a cookie. Preferably rainbow cookie

Rainbow Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe
PrintPRINT SaveSAVE
YIELD: 3 dozen cookies
PREP TIME: 45 minutes
COOK TIME: 8-10 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 55 minutes
Rainbow Chocolate Chip Cookies in every color of the rainbow!

INGREDIENTS:
2 ½ Cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 Cup shortening (I used butter-flavored Crisco)
¾ Cup sugar
¾ Cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
Gel food coloring
1 Cup mini milk chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl; set aside.
Beat shortening and sugars until combined and creamy. Add eggs and extract.
Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
Divide the dough into 6 equal sections and use 1 drop of gel food coloring for each section. Knead the color into the dough. {I use Americolor food color gel. I buy it at Hobby Lobby.}
Fold in chocolate chips (about 1 Tablespoon to each section). Use a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop to drop dough onto baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.

So, I didn't watch, but how did the Canucks manage to even get 3 past the high powered, Presidents Cup Sabres?

Just caught a bit of the game while working, but it seemed like the Sabres were on a breakaway every time I looked up. Maybe our depth on D isn't quite as good as we hoped.

The team may have started reading/believing their own press clippings.

I think they skated around a bit, like so many of their losses, but didn't really go hard to the net or were willing to pay the price in the dirty areas.

RT @ElliottPap: Nux patchwork defence finally looking like a patchwork defence. #Canucks

Did they switch up the d ? Wasn't sure who the pairings were, was Sbisa with Biega or Clendening?

Neuvirth... i was saying the Sabres weren't a gimme.. since they had a 2-1-2 record the last five... Neuvirth has been rocking the house looking to get moved and/or keep his job for next season...

Before this trip i was saying i'm looking for 6 points and anything more was a bonus. so expectations were matched. didn't think it would NJ, and Buff that did the team in, but there it is.

word.
