We do. If he is asking too much to sign , Benning may look at moving him.

Very slim chance he gets moved, but he is one of the names that could bring back a return.

- VANTEL

He's a much younger version of Willie Mitchell.

What exactly is that worth?

WTF happened last night? Did we play as bad as the score sheet says? Was looking at game stats and Kassian played over 16 mins. 3rd highest of all forwards. Is WD showcasing him? Or did he actually play good? The stats don't make any sense. Did we give up on the game early and just spread the minutes around?
- Linden_4_Capt

They heard that the Canucks were making a play for Phil Kessel.

Talks have started with Dorsett, Mathias and Richardson not. Probably be a different story if they didn't have so many injuries.
- manvanfan

Talk is cheap. If you don't have a contract I would move them, instead of getting nothing at the end of the year

Willie is still very valuable. Put it this way , if you are in the playoffs would you prefer Mitchell or Phanuef back there.

I get that. But werent you the one harping on here that Tanev would be more valuable if he was more offensive?

Thats my argument. I think it was you but it could have been someone else. Either way its true.

What do you pay for a young Willie Mitchell? What do you trade for a young Willie Mitchell?

If these recent signings of defenceman are the mark that Tanev needs to meet. Then let him go, He's not worth that kind of money IMHO. We got a cheap replacement in Corrado, I firmly believe Subban can play in this league in a couple years.

If Tanev and or his agent want the kind of stupid money thats getting thrown around right now. Throw him into wind and say fukk it.

No no no.

Willie offers size and physicality that Tanev doesn't (he used to anyways). He was big and strong enough to go up against big power forwards. He was an exceptional defensive defenceman.

Tanev is not exceptional.

This was the real news from yesterday.

Jumped in my car turn on the radio and heard this via Sekeres and Price. They were killing themselves laughing.

While they made it seem like it was more spectacular than it actually was, The way the presented it had me engaged.

I have never been harping on Tanev at all. There was a debate here yesterday talking about Tanevs contract and possibility of trading him or re-signing him. They also debated on the radio the same issue.

No one on here insulted Tanev but many questioned his cap value and trade value. Neither of those to things are harping.

Second point, the only thing that Tanev and Mitchell have in common is they play a defensive game with very little point production. That is where it ends.Mitchell stands up and fights for himself and other teammates , which Tanev has never done once. Willie has and can lay out a huge body check to have the opponents well aware of when he is on the ice. Ask Toews who hits harder Tanev or Willie.

Different types of defensive d-men for sure. Front of the net would rather have Willie, but in a situation where the d-man has to chase I would prefer Tanev, Willie is too slow

Fighting does not up your value. It puts you in the box. Its nothing to spend money on. Hence why fighters make the least amount of money in the league.

Have you not noticed they are some what going extinct?

No effort, sloppy game, mistakes, no hitting , bad D and bad , bad goaltending

Lack lost the net twice last night on goals against. He seems to have a tendency to over commit on his cross crease slide and end up giving them half an empty net.

Dorsett is looked at as a three million dollar man because he fights, otherwise we would be offering Kenins type money

Dont try to convince me that those are three guys I'd want on my team.

Because you'd be sorely mistaken....
