As much as i would love to see Stone in a Nux jersey i bet it was Wiercoch. I don't know why we need MORE D men but who knows what Benning is doing. Maybe has a deal for Bieksa on the back burner. Maybe just cause he's a BC Boy...we seem to be trying to create a full team of guys from BC.

Bring on Jamie Benn and Carey Price!!

- c_roy33

I figured it would be him, maybe Chiasson?

Stone ain't gonna happen.

To the East Coast please. I don't want to face a player we drop, only to have him be the difference maker in a Western conf series.

Back to the Rangers, or to Long Island.

NYI: Higgins and a decent pick/prospect for Brock Nelson?
NYR: Higgins and a decent pick/prospect for Anthony Duclair?

Chiasson would be a nice add just before a big series with the Kings.

Wonder what the asking price is on a guy like him? would one of Shink, Jensen, Guance would be enough... probably not

Higgins is a decent depth guy with a solid 2 way game and quality leadership for both those teams which are trying to go on a run this year. He tends to turn it on in the playoffs too

Plus a 2nd or 3rd pick in a deep draft and a prospect? not fair enough? i agree it is a little low maybe. Throw in Kass? lol

NYI is logjammed at centre anyways and NYR doesn't really have a huge window to go for it. Gotta pay to make a run sometimes.

OK if we were to trade Higgins lets hear your (serious) deals...

So Lorne Henning was at the Sens/Ducks game last night.

I don't see VAN-ANA trading with each other at this point, I'm betting they were scouting someone from the Sens.

Karlsson for that greedy bastard Tanev

Maybe the Ducks want Bonino back...

Thinking Benning stands pat at TDL for the most part. Maybe Higgins?

Realistically we'd get a 2nd or 3rd for Higgins or similarly valued prospect.

Winnik was traded for a 2nd+ and Tlusty a 3rd+...I would hope Higgins gets a better return than these UFA's

Winnik got that return because his cap hit was so low and TOR was willing to eat half of his remaining cap hit.

Tlusty and Higgins are more comparable due to cap hit and Higgins has a limited NTC so I don't expect him to get the return Winnik got.

Most teams don't want to add salary going forward. UFA's are where it's at now

I don't think much would surprise me in moves. Might be more surprised if Benning does nothing. Sounds like he is always talking to other gm's as he has admitted to discussions about players that have recently moved.

Do I think the Canucks should keep Tanev? Kassian? With any player on the Canucks, it depends on the offer. If we can get a first round+ for Tanev, it might be the time to trade him. For Kassian, if we can get a first round and a player that has good potential, trade him. I don't think Kassian will sustain that effort/production.

I'd really like to see the Canucks get some more draft picks, but maybe there isn't any rush either as they are both rfa's.

My favourite part about this kid is his ability to read the play defensively. he's in the top 10 in takeaways or was at least.

Oh and he's an X brandon wheat king haha

Hopefully most out the injured come back just as the playoffs roll around so we can start to make the push for the cup. They should be well rested.
