Since Vey is getting all the blame recently... Even though he is a rookie still learning the NHL game:
Martin St Louis (Age 24) Rookie Year
56 games: 3-15-18 - 4.1% Shooting Percentage (Snake-bitten worse than Higgins)
NCAA First Team All Star/AHL All-Star
In Calgary, he failed at playing with Theron Fleury on the first line.. demoted to third line and a healthy scratch. Management team got fired and the new team thought he was too small despite his skill and put him on waivers. He got bought out and signed with Tampa Bay... He is Calgary's Cam Neely... the Hall of Famer that got away.
I'm not saying Vey will become Martin St Louis, but he is projected as a top-6 forward. He deserves a chance and his contract is cheap.
Linden Vey (Age 23) Rookie Year
56 games: 9-12-21 - 19.6% Shooting Percentage
CHL Leading Scorer/WHL First Team All-Star/AHL All-Star |

I agree, I've said it a few times now but I feel like fans are more emotionally attached to young players who were drafted by their own team and were followed closely as they developed like Horvat, Corrado, etc. Vey would be getting a lot more love if he were in the same boat.
He doesn't really get ripped here, but over at HF some people really hold him to a high standard for a rookie. |

I hope JB does not get into buying mode. TDL trades rarely if ever work out. I hope he unloads maybe a guy or 2 or makes Hockey trades. |

True, I'm more interested in draft day and the lead up. |

I would trade Tanev if we could get a blue chip top six back whose young. Maybe a ryan strome? ? Team isn't missing him nearly as much as I thought we would and corrado could seemingly step in.
Or maybe I'm bored and crazy lol. Anyone have any ideas of where I should move lol Okanagan vancouver or Victoria? ?? Need a little more stimulation in life |

I don't think much would surprise me in moves. Might be more surprised if Benning does nothing. Sounds like he is always talking to other gm's as he has admitted to discussions about players that have recently moved.
Do I think the Canucks should keep Tanev? Kassian? With any player on the Canucks, it depends on the offer. If we can get a first round+ for Tanev, it might be the time to trade him. For Kassian, if we can get a first round and a player that has good potential, trade him. I don't think Kassian will sustain that effort/production.
I'd really like to see the Canucks get some more draft picks, but maybe there isn't any rush either as they are both rfa's. - hillbillydeluxe
I swear Price /Sekeres read this blog daily. They were agreeing earlier today that if Tanev wants too much and they can get a good return, then move him. They even quoted Hollands you don't pay big money for a defensive Dman.
Not the first time we initiated their talk for the day. |

Vey is very creative , and his game is coming along fine. As you mentioned he is a rookie.

lets test that theory. Lets start a Rumor that JB is close to completing a deal of Burrows + Tanev + 2nd 2015+2nd 2016 for Kessel. |

that will be the beauty of the rumor. We all know Kessel is not a JB or a WD type of player. Plus Kessel's style would not mesh with Nuck or WC. |

all those Hodgson supporters should think about this... he's a fourth liner and Zac Dalpe is slotted ahead of him on the third line as a center... Hodgson isn't even a center on the fourth line.. |

Decent prospect write up... - CanuckDon
That is a good right up, good to see fox is pulling his weight now, maybe make for another Burrows route?
If Ritchie and McCann have that good of chemistry canucks should try to trade for him, almost guarantee won't happen like getting domi for horvat but one can dream
Edit I mean Domi on the same line for Horvat not trade horvat for domi |
