I was just about to write the same. But to be honest I have no problem with kessel being on the canucks. Pure sniper.

Yes to Vrbata (which looked like the signing of the summer but has cooled off lately) and WD was a sought-after commodity. I think that was choice by committee.

Dorsett? A fourth line foward that has played really well. Kind of like the Winnik signing in TO. Wouldn't really use him as an example of a GM's stamp. He might not even play for the canucks next season.

As you've mentioned before, expectations sometimes fogs reality. Kassian is expected to play the tough, intense, power-forward position on his line. He's only met those expectations lately.

I think most people are aware of kessel's shortcomings. If you except them and put players on kessel's line that can be more defensively responsable then i think he's a valuable player.

I understand the benefits of good defensive play, but I want a bit of excitement out of my team. Especially if I'm paying to watch.

If Doug Wilson manages to keep his job he has to do something substantial to address the goaltending issues. At least by the summer FA deadline. Canucks have some depth to deal from right now.
