And we have come full circle.
Why do you always have to bring "Raising your kids" into this? - ImThatGuy
Because lots of lessons in life are indeed learned from being a parent and raising children.
The point on why was touched on by me in the post on how it had merit and why it was pertinent to the post.

I can definitely see the humor in that for sure indi.
Those walks of life are in any type of jobs.
I can only tell you, trust me when I tell you guys or girls that don't come to work on my sites honestly get booted right back to their respective no matter who they may think they know.
I don't tolerate it.
I tell all my guys, you are getting paid damned good money, work like you are.
But yes, I see the humor. - BuffaloHardHat

Running a hockey team and being a parent. i usually compare the two all the time. I mean they are indeed the same things.

Whoa whats wrong with unions? - lung3r
just like with most agencies that try to create collaboration of minds there are loop holes and several people that will exploit them. with the good comes the bad and vis versa. It was a joke nothing more and nothing less. but i have worked with many a union employees who don't earn their wage or position.

the biggest issue i have with unions is the lack of fear of being fired.... way to many people use the discipline system to their advantage.. also the guaranteed raises and getting paid for hours you don't work.. it kills me when i see workers willing to wait out the rain to work until they get past 2 hours.. then ahh it aint clearing up i am heading home. oh yeah and you owe me for 8 hours because i was hear past 2.. makes me want to slap them and tell them well then you are waiting till 8 hours is over to see if it actually clears up

Yep...i am more of a historical union guy...i believe they built the middle class which has built this country...
Here's the deal with Pysyk. Its a 10000% fact he is probably the 3rd best defenseman on the team. I get and approve of sending him down to ensure us as a 30th place team. I don't however approve of people or Murray making up an excuse as to why he's not good enough to be here. I hope Murray told him why he's going down.
The other thing to take of note is with Stratchen coming back Sabres likely had to send someone back down and with Ennis and Girgensons not back yet Pysyk had to go. That's my guess.
He's an RFA next year and if I'm Murray I'm kissing his ass and giving him a fair contract and a guaranteed spot on the roster next year. The kids been more than patient we better not F this up.
Again to clarify I agree with him being sent down because I want McEichel but it better be handled correctly.

they're a great idea in principle in the sense that they are established to protect their workers, but the problem is in practice the majority of the people in them take it all for granted

Pysyk was an emergency recall. He in fact did have to get sent down once the blue line was healthy. The only reason he is here IMO is because of the Zadorov situation with him not being able to go to juniors

I'm a Pysyk fan first and foremost, but he's being over rated here.
He isn't facing the minutes/competition that Bogosian is. Does he belong here? Absolutely, but he's still young with things to work on. Any of the prospects should be spared this tire fire and left in Rochester if they can be.
