Yeah pretty much. Only hope for it to start changing is to start trending upwards in the standings quickly. The other appeal is the one that brought Schultz over, playing with the young guys and that exciting dynamic. Oilers should continue to foster that image when they begin their rise. When things are going well I think this can be a very exciting place for players to be.

Much better? it was 3 games into the season. Petry is pissed over how oilers management has treated him and I don't blame him. He's our best dman and we treated him like a plugger up until recently. Plus Petry is gunna make bank on the open market. Cant blame him at all for peacing out.

I don't remember where I saw him mentioned, but Paliotta was brought to my attention recently and he genuinely looks like a solid prospect. 6'3, 201+ lbs defender originally lauded for his defensive play but has been putting up substantial numbers the last couple years.

Raanta is a given- solid young backup that could fill role. Doesn't solve the problem, but he's another piece to try.

Petry to Detroit for Sproul, Tvrdon, and a 4th?

Solid D prospect who's just about ready to make the jump, a solid offensive guy, and a pick.

Petry to Tampa for either Sustr and a 3rd or Carle (.5 mill withheld) and Blujus?

Tampa fans seem to want to move Carle's contract because of how much they're spending on their D (Hedman, Stralman, Garrisson, etc) and to prepare cap space for Stamkos' extension, but he brings very similar elements as Petry- albeit as a LHD. Blujus is just a solid defensive RHD prospect.



Any of those interest you guys? No idea how other team's fans would agree to them, though.
