Werenski looks like a real player too, and he's the youngest of the bunch. he won't even be 18 before the end of his first season at Michigan.... still 3-5 years away

I understand all of that, but I still just don't fully see it. To me, it's as if everyone see's him as the next Lucic.

However, I did only see him play at the WJC, he played GREAT, and fully agree he can do something at the pro level very soon, it's just the top 5 argument. But, depending in the team need, i can see the top 10 discussion.

I've only seen him for an extended period during the wjc's.
But he was great.
And for sure visions of Lucic and Backes starting getting the img animation going.
But there's only a few of those truly dominant top line face destroyers for a reason.

To be honest, if we don't get McEichel, the draft will only be interesting to see if we can swing a deal. Ill trusy svouting i guess. None of the prospects really interest me beyond those two because none of them can probably help much in the short term

He was rated 10-15 range before juniors. Then shot up. He's sliding down again. I would not be surprised if someone took him at 6 but also wouldn't be surprised to see him slip to 14-15.

Can't say I know a ton about strome.
And i love Crouse. But that's based on a two week tourney

Strome is essentially a pretty lanky two-way C with a similar approach to the game a Leon. The main difference is that Leon plays a heavier game more consistently as he doesn't have the same height to utilize in various situations as Strome.

Pretty much a taller mix of Leon and RNH. Not a mean streak worth mentioning.

The words leon plays a 'heavier' game stood out. It's one of the assets he has that could be so vital to us going forward.
In that case, I stick with the centers we got and try and use the pick for an asset filling another need
