I most certainly do....he responded with reasonable points whereas you kept plugging away with the same old speculation that Mac T isnt trying hard enough. You got to go a long way back to know all the facts , Hendo. Like last summers negotiations. Pretty sure Mac T knew or at least had a feeling for Petry's long term feelings about being an Oiler at that time.....or at least has much more insight to it than you or I.

I was just trying to have a polite conversation with him that he initiated. Spec suggested that Petry said he was gone. I asked if that was in July and he said no. So with the information that he was interested in seeing where negotiations could lead in January and Spec saying he wasn't demanding out in July there isn't anything left but to conclude that MacT screwed this situation up.

Not sure why I would need to "come across like a champ" given that neither of us were being combative at all.

Ya I didn't have time to go look today. Ran around the city looking for a HID bulb for my truck. Nobody carries these damn things. Then finally when I was pissed off and on the way back I found a place five minutes from home and a third of the price.

What I want to know Matt is why are you still an Oilers "fan"? You seem to hate everything about the team, the management is doing their best to be the laughing stock of the league apparently, the higher ups do nothing but lie every time they speak and they all have hidden agendas designed to ruin everything and everybody that has something to do with the Oilers.

Why would anybody be a fan of a team that cant ice a quality lineup for almost a decade? Fans don't have to like the people running the team to still cheer for them. I think that's a little simple. Incompetence isn't an agenda.

He was disciplined a few weeks ago for saying poop about the Oilers. He was removed from covering the team on Sportsnet for a game.

MacT has said and continues to say he wanted a 1 year deal for him. He said it last night at the fan conference thing. It's HIS words.

The only thing MacT has done so far that i hated is Eakins. Everything else you mentioned is just conjecture and hindsight, you don't know what he did or didn't try and do.

When a player wants a short term deal leading up to free agency, that tells me they are more than a little interested in testing the market.

Not being satisfied with the current status of the club or its decision makers doesn't mean there's no hope. Refusing to be critical of them ever will pretty much kill whatever hope I have left though.
