Aim for meaning as close to that as possible. I'd likely go as high as 5.2 for 3 years. He'd be gone in time to resign Nurse after his ELC and Klefbom after his bridge deal. Tough to say without knowing if the cap will increase and by how much.

He doesn't need to. He can still play meaningful minutes. He can be used in any situation and injuries happen all the time. To go deep into the playoffs you need a lot of depth on D and I don't think they have it.

That's what I think the hold up is on a trade. We hold him in higher regard than other teams might. I have a feeling there are deals in place already but one side or the other is just afraid to pull the trigger right now. I think as the deadline draws closer someone will up the ante and maybe not give MacT an overpayment, but a deal that will be fair for both sides
