I think there can be blame placed on both parties. Management should have signed Petry to a reasonable long term deal. Petry's camp probably played hard to get and now the relationship is probably very rocky.

This is a poor argument for saying goodbye to Petry. If Petry is willing to take a 18-19 million dollar deal over 4 years then management should have gotten it done.

He's been awesome in the AHL. Just hasn't got it together in the big leagues. Another left shot though???

originally he told Calgary he wasn't going to play for them. Only wanted to play for the Rangers like his father. So he gets traded, then get included in the package for Nash to Columbus.

Perhaps he has matured since his Calgary days.
