I certainly wouldn't disagree with the fact that there may be some positives in trading Gordon.
The same could be said about anyone.

But the negatives and that we'll be desperate to find the same thing after we deal him far outweigh any positives.

Probably and I don't think he's worth that. He's a second pair guy. That would put him top 30 highest paid dmen in the league. Its ridiculous. If he would have signed last summer for 4-4.5 for a few years the oil would have taken that I suspect. That's where he should be.

i certainly agree, his point was the macT oilers have been good at identifying the gordons of the world and would be able to find someone similar this offseason. the point was to write-off this season (which it already is) and use whatever prospect they get, plus sign a gordon type guy this off season (past 2016) so that they don't lose any steam next year

i don't mind him. the 'cup of coffee' and 'him looked good' are overused. I just hate his outdated baseball stories

That's what stralman got last offseason and that's probably a good bench mark for him. The signings of others like staal and methot seem to have driven up his price, right or wrong. he is worth whatever exorbitant amount some idiot pays him

This is all Petry's fault actually. If he would have played better we would be winning and he would have earned that big multi year extension last season. Who does he think he is playing mediocre hockey until his UFA status comes up! (frank) him. He jobbed all of us oiler fans!

more likely a 2nd and mid-level prospect, though i would rather have a 1st alone (obviously) or a good-great prospect who is close to stepping in

i mostly like reading his prospect analysis. It usually falls somewhere between the Sham Sharron method and the "saw him good" method. i can work through the language, the content is what matters anyways
