His numbers seem to have struggled in much the same way Crouse's have. With Bennett injured and Ikonen gone, the team just wasn't ready to move on down the middle. This was compounded by numerous injuries to notable players like Watson and Polesello leaving the only notable offensive talents as McGlynn, Lammikko, McKeown, and overager McEneny.

Losing Bennet killed them. They were 39-23 last year I believe? This year they're below .500

McKeown probably won't be NHL ready for at least 3 more years. Long term project, but big, big upside. LA essentially traded him because he's a project. But he's a damn intriguing one.

For him to be included in a deal with a 1st for a rental player was crazy to me. These are the kind of guys you draft and forget about. Have to let them grow, but man are they worth the patience.

No he was traded in the offseason, I think his hot streak started when playing with Horcoff but the majority came with Gagner. Too long ago that I don't remember though.
