I'd be surprised to see any of the guys in the poll traded.
One guy who I could actually see moving, that nobody is talking about, is Nick Bonino. Just a hunch. He doesn't seem like one of Willie's guys, and the team played fine while he was out. |

Agree Benning might be shopping Bonino...but we have also failed to provide Bonino a proper winger(s) like he had last season in ANA in Cogliano and Winnik.
Benning still may be looking at someone to pair up with Bonino hard to say at this point. |

Only Leafs we should be REMOTELY interested in are Komarov and 'maybe' Bozak.
That's it. |

They could be trying to sell high on Kassian. It just can't be coincidence that he is playing with the Sedins a week before the TDL.
Still want to see Higgins traded. |

My guess is still Kassian as well. Either that or they do nothing.
Out of the prospects, I still feel like Gaunce is most likely to be moved since Jensen's value is likely not very high and I don't see Gaunce as a big WD/Benning type of prospect. Not a fast-paced player and not known for having a good shot. Not that I don't like him just saying that it wouldn't surprise me if he was dealt in a "hockey trade" |

If it didn't cost us too much i still believe Kadri is gonna be a solid player in a year or 2. Has shown some sick hands and good vision/playmaking ability. Not gonna trade the farm for him but he would be a great pickup.
Im willing to say in the next 2-3 years (and on the right team) He scores 30...or at least puts up 60 - 70 points.
And cue the hate....... |

We trade Higgins, for what? A pick?? Same goes with Kassian, what do we gain that will help the team in the playoffs? It would have happened already if any of these two make sense. The draft is a different story. |

Kadri>>Bozak for sure IMO. I don't see TOR and Van doing business though. |

Trade Higgins for what ever we can get. It will be worth the cap space and roster spot for a youngling.
Don't really want to see Kassian go, but I'm pretty confident that Benning won't trade him unless he gets the return he is looking for. |

Agreed, would love a Kadri move so long as the price is reasonable.
With the fire sale in Toronto I'd call up Nonis and make an offer for JVR. I'm sure I'm in the minority here but I'd package Virtanen perhaps a goalie and a 2nd or 3rd rounder for him. Young, skilled, great contract and just entering his prime. Best case scenario Virtanen would hit JVR 's current ceiling.

As of right now VAN is playing LA in the playoffs. Higgins getting dealt won't help, Kassian and/or Matthias wouldn't be smart as you need physical players.

I want to see the pending ufa's resigned or traded, - Matthias, Dorsett and Richardson. They should have some value.
Also, with all these pending rfa dmen, I expect Clendening to be a regular next season, so can see a couple of them traded. |

If we play LA (if we even make the playoffs) we are done anyways...whats the best case scenario? We beat them. Then end up playing CHI or ANA or NASH? If you think we can hang with any of these teams regardless of any small moves we make you are wrong. We need to get rid of aging assets and try and do a quick turn around "refresh" before we end up in "rebuild" mode |

None of these guys are naturally physical. Kassian has to make a conscious effort to hit and I never notice Matthias or Higgins initiating contact.
edit: Matthias does drive the net and Higgins plays along the boards, but neither really dole out the hits. |

Couldn't agree more... Higgins just dump for a pick of some sort, clear the roster spot for injured players coming back and cap space.. Richardson is more valuable to this team and kenins has clearly played his way onto the team... And as for Kassian like you said there's literally nothing I can see helping this team that we would get in return most likely... I wanna see what he can do in the playoffs |
