I agree, but only if he comes really cheap, I think he has more value than Gleason who's washed up. If they can acquire a useful player cheaply then I'm all for it. But I would keep all picks that are 3rd round or higher. If Benning can somehow pawn off a guy like Grenier and a 4th for a player who can improve this team then sure go for it.

I think he may make some minor trades to clean up our prospect mess that Gillis created, but as for nhl trades I doubt he pulls the trigger unless we get something gift wrapped to us. I definately don't see him initiating anything major. Although

GM Benning "less inclined" to trade than month ago because "our guys stepped up."

Was hoping with some guys stepping up, it might make others expendable to acquire some picks/prospects/projects... but as long as we aren't in on rentals, we are good.

a little disappointing to read this- “Nobody really even contacted me about our goalies, to be honest with you,” Benning said. “The goalie market is a tough market because most organizations have three guys. And now that Ryan is out, we’re really happy to have Eddie and Jacob. It was always in the back of my mind that if anything happened, we have good depth in goal.”

Typical leaks at this time of the year, I don't really believe anyone to tell you the truth. Especially a guy like Spector who isn't even in the insider business, that's exactly the type of guy I'd indirectly leak that info to if I were a GM.

I'm not saying Sharp will be moved for sure, but I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of it happening.
