Word is that Petry is about to go. I wonder if Monday is going to the TMGM show as everything else will have moved. |

Fun trade idea - we send Neuvirth and our "other" second to Arizona for a case of Molson. Would you do it? |

Lol, wasn't it six months ago you guys had Moulson penned in for 30 goals? He sucks away from Tavares. Maybe you can trade him for pronger or savard. - Isles_since_6
Time to move on from desperately trying to justify the Vanek Trade....old news, it cost you guys, get over it, move on. |

My only worry with waiting to the last minute is: for the teams that may be intrested in someone on this team, they may reach out to another team who will meet their needs, leaving us with some guys we don't need/want and could have been dealt days earlier.
Other than stewart, Neuiverth, coho, and maybe a shocker (ennis, grinko) everyone else that has any interest should be dealt the moment they are inquired about. The 4 above will gain value by holding on to them until monday, well maybe not coho |

Agreed, completely. Also, waiting til the last minute has really hurt the bigger goal. |

They did luck out in that he turned down the giant contract from them (as he did with us). It could have been 10x worse had he accepted it. |

Sure but why run down Moulson to make you feel better? |

Honestly, I don't see a whole lot of value in Stewart or Neuiverth, not a lot of teams going to give up a lot right now for a backup goalie and a guy who is horribly inconsistent. But maybe someone gets desperate. |

Looks like their plan is to assemble the 2003 all star team 12 years too late |

Well thats funny seeing as reports have been out that several teams have been inquiring about Stewart. He is playing this good lately because he wants to go to a playoff contending team. He is the perfect kind of rental. He is playing for a new contract after all |

I didn't say teams weren't interested I just don't think he gets a lot back in return. |

At least a B+ prospect and a pick. I don't think a 1st like some do but it would be nice. |

True. There really is only 2 options for neuiverth:
A. A teams needs a backup in which they really won't give up much (which I'm fin with b/c if he wants to be a sabre, he'll be back next year, but dump him for anything as of now)
B. A team likes what they see and would like him to be their starter for next year, but they still would only give up a small amount to get him, as it is a big if
So either way, he's not going to fetch much, but as I said just dump em.
Stewart has value and if he plays with a nice compliment, he'll be a good addtition to any team, even if it's only a teams 3rd line |

I bet that is a salary dump. Wonder if the Ducks have a followup move planned
EDIT - being reported that it was a small offset to Fleischman's salary |

A team will overpay for Stewart. He would like you said be a nice compliment to any contending team. Mitchell as well. The guy isn't as bad as I originally thought. I'd be happy if we got a 3rd for him |

I think Stewart can do very well wherever he is but I'm not sure other GMs are salivating at the chance to trade for him. Injuries and desperation in the next few days could change that though. |
