My biggest fear: Watching Regier hand McDavid a jersey, then somehow in the near future Regier holding the Cup over his head
Everyone that rode him out on a rail would be tying a noose at that point - bberkey1
It could very well happen. |

I hate to say it but 34 needs to go, I know he's playing well and any other time I would be excited about it. - SABRES 89
they can extend him, and play lindback half the games
that should get the job done short term and long term |

1 piece of the puzzle is almost certainly in place (as most conspiracy theorist believe AZ has number 1 locked up no matter where they finish, myself included) but it would be the ultimate fear come true though. |

When he was hired alot of you guys talked about him as though he was the second coming of Christ. - Jeropotato
The Jury is obv still out...
He walked into a situation with a ton of good prospects & picks and a team that was built to finish last for McDavid/Eichel
If we don't get one of those 2 it's an epic fail on his part
I do like the Kane & Bogosian trade a lot. Good example of packaging our prospects (which we have too many of- they all can't fit in the lineup) for better young talent
All depends how he puts it all together...
But in most people's opinions, he's off to a good start
This offseason will be big as far as putting another piece or two in place
Goalie, needs to be addressed
We should take advantage of cap strapped teams
Next year starts our climb back up the standings
Playoffs the season after
That's my anticipation of the timeline Murray is on anyways

Jagr is there and people still don't know there is a team in Florida. - SABRES 89
Which is why I can't understand the NHL's love for these markets, rather than admitting the south expansion was a dud. Nashville and Tampa are two of the best teams right now and other than NHL fans, people will say: "they have a team?" Why laud your praises for a generational player going to a non-existent market such as Phoenix, which has no fan base when a club that has a loyal base could relish in it?
Simple answer: dollars and cents. The potential to take a market that has a small base and could blossom into a large base compared to say Buffalo, whose fan base isn't going to drastically increase with on ice success (sure you'll get the bandwagons across the country) is the diffrence between making millions and millions upon millions. If the stars align and the yotes get enough exposure (ala penguins 2004) the stadium may actually sell out, apparel and merchandise could skyrocket, Tv deals can be had. Granted there is no guarantee it happens, but the potential pros of a market for room to grow, out weight the realistic pros of an establish market maintaining it's status in the business sense that is |

Mcdavid could save their franchise the way Crosby did for Pittsburgh
Obv the Leafs are another team conspiracy theorists think could win the lotto
I'm frankly ok with either of them winning it, as long as we finish last & then get Eichel
Although McDavid looks to be far above any prospect we've seen in quite some time

There is no reason for Florida and Arizona to have teams. Nashville supports their team as does Tampa but Florida needs to go to Quebec and Arizona can go to Vegas, Seattle, Kansas City, or Ontario |
